GEMULATOR GOLD CD - The Ultimate Atari Emulators CD =================================================== March 11, 1996 This CD contains 5 main directories: ATARI8 - sample Atari 8-bit programs and disk images ATARIST - sample Atari ST and STE programs GEMUL8R - versions of Gemulator for MS-DOS, Windows 3.1, and Windows 95 and NT WIN32S - Microsoft Win32s 1.25 install (required to run Gemulator on Windows 3.1) XFORMER - PC Xformer 3.50 program To run the Gemulator Atari ST emulator from MS-DOS: 1. Make sure you have installed your Gemulator card with valid TOS ROMs 2. Go into the GEMUL8R directory by typing cd \GEMUL8R at the MS-DOS prompt 3. Edit the GEMUL8R.INI file to set your initial preferences 4. Type GEMUL8R from the MS-DOS prompt 5. Also read the README.TXT file in that directory To run the Gemulator Atari STE emulator for Windows: 1. Make sure you have installed your Gemulator card with valid TOS ROMs 2. Go into the GEMUL8R directory using the Windows File Manager or Explorer 3. Run GEMUL8RS if you are running Windows 3.1, or GEMUL8R4 on Windows 95 and NT 4. Refer to your Gemulator users manual and also read the README.TXT file To run the PC Xformer Atari 8-bit emulator for MS-DOS: 1. Go into the XFORMER directory by typing cd \XFORMER at the MS-DOS prompt 2. Type XFORMER from MS-DOS or run XFORMER.EXE from Windows 3. The user's manual is the file XFORMER.DOC. Read it with Word or WordPad 4. Also read the README.TXT file in that directory To run the ST Xformer Atari 8-bit emulator for the Atari ST: 1. Go into the ATARIST\XFORMER directory by typing cd \ATARIST\XFORMER at the DOS prompt 2. Copy the files XFORMER.PRG to a double density floppy disk 3. Take the floppy disk to an Atari ST, and run XFORMER.PRG from the GEM desktop To install Microsoft Win32s 1.25 on Windows 3.1: 1. Win32s is requires to run Gemulator 4.15s on Windows 3.1 or Windows For Workgroups 2. Go into the WIN32S directory and run WIN32VER from the File Manager 3. If the program runs and reports that you have Win32s installed, you are done 4. Otherwise, follow the directions in the README.TXT file
