Some items in the help system will be displayed as underlined, if the mouse is clicked on an underlined word, you will be taken to help for that subject. To access the help system at any time, simply press the 'Help' key, or select 'Help' from the pulldown menu. @3[More] .3 Using Help Most dialogues have help which is context sensitive. This means that when the help key is pressed, you will be given help on that dialogue .12 Current Image When a window containing an image is brought to the top (foreground) it becomes the current image. All processes selected will affect this image. Any background images will remain unaffected by processes. .13 Palette Images Palette images are either 16 or 256 colour images. Pixel processes on palette images act upon the palette so the whole image will be affected by changes. Any defined areas will be ignored. .50 Adjust Image This dialogue allows you to adjust the brightness and contrast of an image or image area. This process is available for Grey, @13[Palette] and True Colour images, but not monochrome. @51[Operation] .51 Adjust Image To operate the dialogue, you may select the left or right arrows to move the brightness or contrast sliders. Alternatively, select the slider bar with the mouse and move it left or right. The current value for each slider is shown on the right of the slider and ranges from -100% to 100%. Selecting OK will apply the setting to the @12[current image]. .End
