If you want to change/add/delete info run it again. The dial string for the modem should NOT include the AT-prefix but only the rest of the string (DT123..). 03/06-91 NEWS New version of RMCONFIG.TOS that fixes bug when trying ------------- to edit BBS'es with higher numbers than 9. IMPORTANT You must also remember to register on all the BBS'es """"""""" you want to call before you start to use ReadMail ST. On MBBS systems you MUST choose ENGLISH commands and VT100-emulation with FSE (full-screen-editor) !!!!!! You should also change EXPERT-mode with "X J" to get rid of the "(? for menu)" part of the command prompt as this in some cases could confuse ReadMail ST !!!! 12/06-90 NEWS You can turn off message scanning at login on MBBS ------------- systems as ReadMail no longer uses this scanning. 30/11-90 NEWS Support for new function in MBBS 9.9 that turns off ------------- echo inside MBBS editor. Saves a lot of time !!! 15/05-91 NEWS Uses CTRL-K to skip ALL pictures and info-screens. ------------- Uses MiniBBS fast login and supports G&R commands. READMAIL.PRG This is the ReadMail ST program with the main menu. You can select any of the BBSes you entered during configuration and select if you want to call a BBS or if you just want to enter some more messages. What now ? The program will now call the BBS, GRAB new messages, download them with RZ.TTP, enter new messages/replies, log off, extract GRAB-files and start message editor. ReadMail ST will ask you if you want to stay on a BBS before it disconnects, and on MBBS systems you will get a list of connected users before the question. Comm-Progs If you press ESCape before 5 seconds has elapsed ReadMail ST will start up your communication program. Exit this program to disconnect and get back to the message editor in ReadMail ST when you are finished. 11/10-90 NEWS If the BBS sends a logoff message it will be displayed ------------- after disconnect, and ReadMail ST will wait for a key. 25/01-91 NEWS Some BBSes use different names on the GRAB-files for ------------- each node. ReadMail ST now handles this all right. RMEDITOR.PRG This editor will be started by ReadMail ST to make you able to read, reply and enter new messages. Press F1 to insert the macro you selected in RMCONFIG.TOS. RETURN for next message, S to skip to next conference, R to reply to a message, Y for next message to you and ESC to skip ALL messages. HELP gives full key-list. The editor has full IBM character set, and you will be able to print messages on an IBM-printer or write them to a text file converted to standard ASCII-characters. 12/06-90 NEWS It's now possible to resign from conferences using a ------------- new command called A)bandon conference in the editor. 03/06-91 NEWS It's now possible to change the subject when replying ------------- to a message. Hit RETURN to keep the old subject. 17/07-91 NEWS Editor now supports big screen monitors/emulators. ------------- TT and bigscreen users should enjoy this very much. 25/01-93 NEWS You can put conference names for a BBS in the file ------------- CONF.TXT (one on each line) and put it in the BBS- folder. When asked for a conference name you may now scroll through all the names in that file ! WARNING When entering new messages check conference- and """"""" users names. ReadMail ST tries to handle errors, but strange things may happend, so take care. TLFREGN2.TOS This program from the MiniTerm package can be used to calculate your phonebill and to show statistics over calls made with ReadMail ST or MiniTerm. The format for the call-logfile is the same for ReadMail ST and MiniTerm and you may use the same filename for both. RZ.TTP These programs is NOT included in this ARChive, but you ARC.TTP will need them to make ReadMail ST work. They can be found on most BBSes and are Public Domain.
