This is a subset of a test directory from a full distribution of
gawk.2.13.  It was adjusted for needs and capabilities of ST.
In particular, for many tasks which are performed in an original with
a help from a Un*x Bourne shell some other ways had to be found.

Files in this directory provide a basic sanity test for gawk and also
serve as example of awk programs of different degrees of difficulty.
In a full distrubution of gawk you will find also a subdirectory with
all programs from "The AWK Book", but together with results this is
another 630K of a disk space.  If you would like to see them you know
where they can be found.

Be careful when running 'resub' test.  A way in which it is performed
can be too much for meagre TOS capabilities in keeping track of an
ownership of file handles.  Do that on RAM drive and reboot your
machine after you finished.
