*.BM files ========== These files hold mail routed by rmail(1) until they are converted into a format that is acceptable to the remote host concerned. These files are written by rmail(1) and will be located in the spool directory of the site that is to receive the mail (possibly on behalf of some other site). Each *.bm file is accompanied by a *.d file that holds the actual mail data. *.bm files are converted by the batchmai(1) program. *.bm are text files consisting of four lines: Line 1 is the name of the corresponding data file Line 2 is the local user responsible for creation of the mail. This is used for the local WORK.C files and the X files for the remote site. Line 3 is the return path, used in SMTP mail batch headers (MAIL FROM:) Line 4 is a list of recipients, separated by blanks. A *.bm might look like this: f:\usr\spool\uucp\unlisys\A0azpo7g.d reflector reflector einoed.in-berlin.de!buchonia.rhoen.in-berlin.de!rhoen!horke
