NAME  

        7 - use the 7UP text editor with Hermes 



SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION  

        7  is  just a shell that lets you use the 7UP text editor (which

        you must obtain  from  other  sources)  with  Hermes.  Its  main

        purpose  is to accept whatever filename it is given (absolute or

        relative),  construct  an  absolute   filename   from   it   (if

        necessary),  change  into  the directory where 7UP is found, and

        call 7UP from there.  The idea behind this is to  allow  7UP  to

        find its resource file.  

        The  name of the 7UP editor is found in the environment variable

        $7UP, or it is assumed to be 7UP. The 7UP editor is searched  on

        the path.
