                            DOCUMENTATION FOR LUNAR LANDER ST
                            ---------------------------------
Lunar Lander has had many different incarnations on many
different types of computers. This latest version takes advantage
of some of features of the 520st. We decided not to use windows
to write the game because it is to much of a distraction on the
screen and it is easier to program without them. We hope you
enjoy this version of Lunar Lander as much as we did programming
it. This is our company's first published game program but we are
            not new at programming.

We have programmed on many different computer systems
            including Sinclair ZX-80, Commodore Vic-
    20, Atari 400 and 800,
Atari 520st, and Tandy 1000. We will be publishing many games in
the near future for the 520st and the Tandy 1000. We program in
mostly basic and because of this some of our games may not run as
fast as you are used to. We do not have the professional
development tools that many of the larger companies have such as
Electronics Arts or Lucasfilm. We do however try hard and try to
make the games as interesting as possible. We think that you will
find that this version of Lunar Lander runs at an adequate speed.

                                GAME CONTROLS AND FEATURES
                                --------------------------
The following keys provide control over the Lander craft and allow
it to be manuvered onto the landing pad. This game can now also
be played with a joystick in this newest version (PLUG INTO PORT 0
WHERE THE MOUSE NORMALLY IS). If you use the Keyboard you may
wish to turn down the sound on your monitor or use the control
panel to turn off the keyclick noise. There is also no sound used
in the game, there is after all no sound in space. Also note that
you should use the numbers on the numeric keypad to pilot the
            craft.

8 This key turns on the thrust and slows the descent of
                        the lander.

4 This key moves the lander to the left.

6 This key moves the lander to the right.

2 This key speeds the descent of the Lander.

Z This key provides a slightly lower thrust value.

X This key provides less thrust.

C This key provides the lowest thrust value.

SPACE BAR This key makes the lander completely stop in motion,
it also takes half of your remaining fuel.

<LUNAR LANDER ST WILL ONLY WORK WELL IN MEDIUM RESOLUTION>

                                    OBJECT OF THE GAME
                                    ------------------
The computer landing system has gone out inside the lander and you
must land it by manual control. This is a simulation of landing
practice for the LEM module. The object of the game is to land
the craft on the white landing pad which appears at a random
location on the bottom of the screen. Every time you land
successfully you will be awarded a score between 100-
    1000 pts, you
will also be awarded a certain amount of additional fuel. The
gravity will also gradually increase each time you land or crash.
The gravity will increase more every time you crash. When you are
out of fuel the game will end and will print your score on the
screen. Do not worry about the gravity increase because your
thrust value will increase but not quite at the same rate, so be
            careful.

                               HOW THIS GAME IS DISTRIBUTED
                               ----------------------------
LUNAR LANDER ST is distributed under the concept of SHAREWARE.
This provides beginning companies with low overhead since there is
very little cost of publishing the software and it also provides
the user of the software with a lower price of software.

To become a registered user of this software simply mail $5.00
            dollars to the following address.

projects include a game that will require you to captain a
starship about the galaxy and find and classify alien artifacts
and creatures. This game will have a great degree of play depth
and will have very nice graphics. Another project is a simulation
