family of animation software from Antic (Cyber Studio (CAD-3D
2.0), Cyber Control, and Cyber Paint). They are stored in a
highly-compressed file type we call "sequence" files (with a
         .SEQ extender).

Sequence files can be played with our public domain player
program, called ANIMATE4.PRG, in two ways.

             1) in autorunning batch mode via a .RUN file if the
ANIMATE4.PRG program has been installed as an application
taking the extender .RUN from the GEM Desktop INF file, and

             2) as individual animations that are played directly by
running ANIMATE4.PRG and then selecting the animation file to
         be viewed.

This disk has been configured so that you simply have to boot
it up and double-click on the CYBER.RUN file to go into batch
mode (as per #2, above). You can also run the ANIMATE4
program and follow the instructions in the dialog boxes to
play the animations manually. Remember to click on the *.SEQ
button in the custom file selector so the sequence files are
         displayed.

For those of you who have used ANIMATE1, 2, or 3 (from Cyber
Studio or Cyber Paint), the difference between ANIMATE4.PRG
and earlier versions of ANIMATE is that version 4 supports
palette-per-frame changes that you can make in Cyber Paint
2.0 (also known as color cycling). Plus, the
double-buffering has been improved so that the screen is
always double-buffered, even at 30 fps.

If you are interested in learning more about 3D and 2D
animation on the Atari ST, call Antic at 415/957/0886 and
         request a four-color catalog.
