To run Link  you need to have the file vbrun300.dll in your Windows\System directory. This file is freely distributed by Microsoft Corporation and can be found on many commercial CD's and BBS's. 

To install: copy the files to an empty directory and from Program Manager hit the Run command. At the prompt type (directory)Setup.exe.
When the installation program runs, type in the drive and directory you are installing from and the destination drive and directory.

Link is not freeware it is shareware. If you have any questions concerning the concept of shareware, read the accompanying file
sharewar.doc.

You have 30 days to use Link. If at the end of that evaluation period you do not wish to continue to use Link , please delete the directory(Link from your disk. The only system files that are placed elsewhere is vbrun300.dll. This is s common system file
and most users have it on their hard drives. Do not (repeat)  Do not! delete this file. Other programs definitely need it to operate.

Open the file linkshar.hlp and look for the section "Quick Start". This will explain the setup
and initial operations of Link.

   
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS   
    
A computer capable of running Windows 3.1 or higher   
A modem working and connected to your Com Port and   
configured to run in Windows   
A telephone connected to your modem   
A call back number   
A communications program that you want to use (Optional)   
   
INSTALLATION   
   
Put the disk with the setup program in your floppy disk   
drive (drive A or drive B). Open up file    
manager and in the File section of the menu find Run.   
Type in A:\setup.exe and double click.    
Link will install itself automatically. If you want to use   
a drive other than C:\ to store the Link    
program, type in the drive letter you want when the   
program asks you. Don't try to run Link    
from a floppy. Put it on your hard drive. The setup   
program will put Link in it's own group in    
Program Manager or whatever shell you are using.   
Don't try to run Link yet, you have to    
configure it first.
