========================================
Changes to PSP since Version 1.0 (4/89)
========================================
20. Version 5.0 released 02/07/94
Supports UPS changes as of 2/07/94:
Rates for all Ground and Air Services have been increased.
Weight limit increased to 150 lbs. for domestic services
Charges for Call Tag and Declared Values increased to $2.25 and
	35 cents.
Additional Handling Charge introduced. $1.00 for certain types of
	packages.
Dimensional Weight introduced for all Air packages larger then 1 CuFt.

Supports the new History Module for keeping track of all customer shipments.

   How to use new features:
Dimensional Weight (DW) for domestic Air Packages
	Dimensional Weight = length x height x width / 194
When you enter the weight for a Domestic Air package (Zones 12,14,15,
16,22,24,25,26) a window will appear to allow you to enter the length,
height, and weight of the package. PSP will calculate and show the value
of the DW of the package in the window. Press ESCAPE to continue.
If the cube of the package is greater than 1 CuFt. and the DW is
greater than the weight you entered then PSP will use the DW as the
weight to calculate the UPS Rate. If the cube of the package is less
than 1 CuFt. then PSP will accept the weight you entered. If you wish
to ignore the DW calculation press ESCAPE and PSP will accept the
	weight you entered.
     The New Additional Handling Charge
We have used the Call Tag field on the Transaction Screen to implement
this feature. Above this field you will now see the letters in the
heading are C with an A under it. If you are going to send a Call Tag
enter a C in this column. If you are sending a package that requires
Additional Handling enter A in this column. If you wish to specify
both services the enter a B. Please be aware that PSP will not print
a Call Tag. These still have to be prepared manually.
The new 150 pound weight limit
To implement this new 150 lb. weight limit it was necessary to increase
the size of the weight field to 3 characters. We reduced the size of
the No. Pkgs field to two characters. Since we now have three
characters in the weight field you may now designate an Air Letter by
	entering LTR or LT.

19. Version 4.5 released 11/05/93
Supports UPS changes as of 11/05/93:
New rates for Canadian Ground shipments and 2 new zones(55,56).
New Express Services and rates (formerly air service) to Canada
      and Mexico. Zones 81 - 85

18. Version 4.1 released 4/01/93
A major improvement to handling shippping addresses has been added.
When entering the customer number for a transaction you may select the
customer number by pressing F10. A window will appear showing your
shipping addresses. Use the up and down arrow keys, PgUp, PgDn, Home,
End, to search for your address. You may also enter a letter to move
to that section of your list. Press Enter to select the Customer Number.
Please note the list is sorted by the abbreviated name.
This feature is also available in Shipping Address Processing.

The PgUp, PgDn, Home, End keys are activated on the transaction screen.

17. Version 4.0 incorporates new rates and features:

Ground Service Rates for Commercial and Residential
Next Day, 2nd Day, Air Letters

Call Tag and COD Charges are been increased

Oversized packages are now computed as 30 lb packages

A new zone 26 for rural Alaska is added

A new 3Day service with Zones 32 thru 38 has been added
These zones are not automatically looked up by PSP. To determine
these zones take the ground zones 2 thru 8 (provided automatically
by PSP) add 30 to the zone. For example if PSP returns a zone 7
for a shipment and you wish to send it 3-Day then enter the zone 37.

A new Zone has been added for Mexico.

We have added a feature to add a handling charge to UPS charges.
The Add/Edit Company Data section in Housekeeping will allow you
to enter a dollar amount and a percent. If you make either of these
	 entries PSP will calculate

Charges = UPS Charges + Dollar Amount + Percent x UPS Charges

This amount will appear on the transaction screen and the
Billing Report. The UPS Manifest Reports will show the UPS Charges as
	 required by UPS.

If you leave these entries blank or zero then UPS charges will
	 appear on the transaction screen.

An additional feature was added to the Print Labels, Enter All Information
on Label selection (#2,#2). You may now select a shipping address to appear
     on the label.

16. On Sept 1,1992 two new modules were added to PSP:

Import transactions from an ASCII disk file-
You may import ASCII shipping transactions from a disk
file located anywhere on your hard disk. This module
is sold separately from the standard PSP. When

this feature. You may use this feature to send shipping
transactions from an accounting system to PSP.

Import shipping addresses from an ASCII disk file-
You may import ASCII shipping addresses from a disk
file located anywhere on your hard disk. This module
is sold separately from the standard PSP. When
you purchase the module you will receive the format
of the ASCII file and instructions on how to operate
this feature. You may use this feature to convert
your shipping addresses to the PSP Shipping Address
	 File (NAME.UPS)
   (Version 3.1 Revised 9/1/92)

15. On July 1,1992 two new modules were added to PSP:

PIP Module - This module will be of great interest to you
if you insure many of your packages each month.
Please contact us for more information.

GroundSaver Module - If you are in a designated UPS GroundSaver
zone and you ship 250 packages per month you probably
qualify for a substantial discount from UPS. Contact
your UPS rep to learn more about this discount. If
you qualify then contact us to purchase
		  this module.

Also added was support for a HP Laser compatible printer for printing
of the Manifest. Enter code 60 in the Housekeeping/Company Data section.

Also added is a feature to add a fixed dollar amount and a percent of
the shipping charge to the shipping charge on the BIlling Report. This
was requested from many companies that add a charge to the UPS charges.
   (Versiion 3.0 Revised 7/1/92)

14. On June 1,1992 UPS introduced a new tracing service called GroundTrac.
To accomodate this new service two new rate charts(5,6) have been added.
If you want to use GrounTrac for a commercial shipment then enter a D
rather than a C in the C/R column. If you want to use GrounTrac for a
residential shipment then enter a S rather than an R. PSP wil select the
correct rate from the two new rate tables. A message at the bottom
of the screen will remind you of these codes when you first enter a
   transaction. (Versiion 2.5 Revised 6/1/92)

13. On Feb. 24,1992 UPS increased rates for domestic ground and air service,
introduced 2nd day air letter service, Canadian zone 54 was added,
Canadian rates increased, and AOD service was cancelled. In addition
international sevices have been greatly expanded.
Version 2.4 incorporatres all these changes.
UPS will no longer give approval to any "Host System" that allows rate
changes. For this reason you will no longer be able to change any rate
tables with PSP. (Version 2.4 Revised 2/24/92)

12. Two new label formats introduced. See Housekeeping section 2. If you
enter 3 as the label type code PSP will produce a label 4" X 3 15/16"
with the entire label printed in normal size type (ie. condensed type not
used) and the UPS Shipper No. box will be larger. If you enter 4 then
   the label will be 5" X 3 15/16 (Version 2.3 Revised 3/28/91)

11. On Feb 18,1991 UPS introduced separate rate schedules for Commercial
and Residential shipments. They also introduced zones 88,92,98,99 and
new rates for Canada and International Air.
Version 2.2 incorporates all these changes.
The transaction screen has a new column for you to enter C for a comm-
ercial shipment and R for a Residential Shipment. PSP will look up the
charges from the correct rate schedule. A default R or C will appear.
You may enter this default letter in the Housekeeping Section under
   Add/Edit Company Data.

10. You can now search for specific transactions by control number
on the transaction screen by pressing F8 and entering the control
   number. Version 1.29,10/01/90

9. You may now print individual COD Tags directly from the
Transaction Screen by pressing F7 when cursor is present on the
   transaction line. Version 1.28A, 6/25/90

8. If you do not wish to use A/B switches to attach your parallel
printers to your PC you may now assign them within PSP. A new
option 6 is available in the Housekeeping Section which will
allow you to assign your parallel printers to LPT1,LPT2,or LPT3.
   Version 1.27,12/13/89

7. A new label option is present in Version 1.26. You may produce
a label that contains only your UPS Shipper number and Package
ID number on a small 3 1/2" x 15/16" label. This feature is for
customers who already produce their shipper address labels in
other systems. The option can be activated by selecting Housekeep-
ing and then #2 Add/Edit Label Format. Version 1.26,12/6/89

6. When your COD's are greater than $100. you may select an option
to have your Declared Value made equal to your COD and automati-
cally entered on the transaction screen. The option may be se-
lected in the Housekeeping/Company Data section.
   Version 1.25,11/4/89

5. You may now print a label directly from the transaction screen
by pressing the F6 function key.

pressing the left arrow when the cursor is positioned on the
first character of the Control Number field. This will position
the cursor in the Line number field. Just Enter whatever line
   you wish to reach.
   Version 1.24, 10/2/89

3. You may now delete transactions after you print shipping
labels. You must print the manifest AFTER any deletions.
The labels will now have the same ID numbers as the manifest.
