    Dear Potential CMFiler User,

Thank you for trying CMFiler! I am certain you will find it the
most powerful and easiest-to-use disk/file manager in the
shareware market today. I have not included an INSTALL program
simply because CMFiler is unencumbered by auxiliary supporting
files, does not need to be on its own directory with a special
    name, etc.

Just copy the two program files -- CMFILER.COM and CMFILER.OVY --
into any directory you wish CMFiler to reside on, and with that
directory selected at the DOS prompt, type CMFILER. CMFiler will
create a file called CMFILER.CFG which will store the setup data
you specify as you tailor CMFiler to your needs during operation.
If you rename the CMFILER files to the shorter name I recommend
(just to conserve keystrokes) -- ie, CF vice CMFILER -- be sure to
rename all three files, so that you end up with CF.COM, CF.OVY and
CF.CFG. (Actually, any name will do, as long as all three files
are named the same. You could call them all F if you wanted.)

If you would like to use a major credit card to register CMFiler
for $30, you can call the Public (software) Library registration
service at 1-800-2424-PsL or 713-524-6394, and ask for CMFiler,
    part number 10657.

CompuServe has also begun a registration service to make
registration easier for CIS subscribers. CMFiler is listed as
entry #15. To register using this service, just GO CIS:SWREG from
    the ! prompt.

    Again, thanks for trying CMFiler!

    Charley Martin
