There are others who say the opposite. From what I've seen it doe look like it, but it may explain my inability to do the Rolling Attack consistently. Just in case, the basic idea behind charging is holding th joystick in the position at the beginning of the move for more than just an instant. Charging seems to apply to all the moves that require quickl moving the joystick from one side to the next, or from down to up, while hitting a button. An extended list of such moves is: Blanka's Rolling Attack Chun Li's Spinning Bird Kick E. Honda's Killer Head Ram Guile's Sonic Boom Guile's Somersault Kick For instance, with Blanka's Rolling Attack: 0-, charge, -0 + [a|b|c] (hold for a sec, then boom!) So if you are having trouble executing a move where you have to quickly move from one end of the joystick to the other, try this charging techni Character Moves: NOTE: All characters are assumed to be facing right. The overall most effective player is -> Guile? Wasn't there a post somewhere on this net about Guile having -> a bug in the move controls? Where in the world did you get this -> info? Yes... Guile is considered the BEST character, followed by Dhalsim, then Chun Li, etc... and yes, Guile has several bugs... one allows you to freeze Guile himself (not a very smart thing to do, but interesting to see), one allows you to freeze his opponent (personally, I haven't been able to do this move so I don't know how it looks), and another bug allows you to throw his opponent without touching the guy (haven't been able to do this one either, but many have)... I got the ranking info. from a USENET post, but I think it can be found in some magazine dedicated to Street Fighter II (sorry about the lack of specifics)... Oh, in case you're wondering, here's how you do those buggy moves... Guile Freeze: upside-down kick followed by a sonic boom... I've done this by doing a defensive crouch (to charge for the boom) next to my opponent, then doing a standing defense (pull straight back) and pushing the roundhouse (to do the upside down kick), then (before Guile completes the upside-down kick) pushing the joystick forward and hitting a punch button for the sonic boom... to unfreeze Guile, either stand there and get hit, or go for a somersault kick. Freeze Guile's Opponent: I believe it's a throw (middle punch button) followed by a somersault kick... you'll have to charge up for the somersault kick, then go for the throw the same time you execute the kick... (oh, I believe if you hit the fierce punch [far right punch button] instead of the strong punch, you'll reset the machine [not a smart thing to do, you'll waste your money)... to unfreeze your opponent, you'll have to execute the invisible throw, but personally, I haven't been able to do either of these things... Guile's Invisible Throw: charge up with a defensive crouch, then push the joystick forward, then pull back while hitting both fierce punch and roundhouse kick... Guile should do the move for a backdrop (I believe) without grabbing his opponent, and his opponent should fall over like an idiot... some people have said that they've thrown Vega (while climbing the fence) with this, as well as people jumping in to kick them... I haven't done either. PCRelay:TBC -> #463 RelayNet (tm) 4.10 The Black Cauldron--W.S.,Fl.(407)699-6613 HST
