As skeptical and disbelieved as it may sound, take it from my fellow friends the witnessess (of course). Once upon a time (sorry that's starts a fairy tale) It was a last year around this time. Halloween was in the air. Little children getting their costumes and makeup ready for the big night. Parents going out to the nearest rite aid and grocery stores to buy the candies for that special night. Well, there was something different about that Halloween. My friends and I were bored and kept calling Halloween the most boringEST time of the year. With work and school we just did'nt care. One day, my friend that lives in nowhere land said there was an abandoned house down the road from him (we're talking farm country here) He asked me and my two friends if we wanted to persue it. So, naturally like any normal teenager looking for trouble and the unknown we obliged easily. We packed some crowbars, flashlights, knives, and other things for the house. As we picked him up, the night started to shift a mood that frightened every one in the car. "No, no I said we're not wasting my gas to turn back now. Along that decrepid and dank road we saw headlights. Keep in mind this is in the middle of nowhere. I hit the brakes and creeped a little slower. Then we all looked at what was, was now gone. Call it mass hysteria? So, we kept on as everyone began to shiver and wine. Are we there yet? I started myself to get nervous behind the wheel and began to shake a little. The road seemed endless. The black clear starlit sky was really dark and eerie even though a gibbous moon subsided a minute amount of light. So, on our approach to the railroad, we followed it about a mile until we got to a gate and the end of the road for the car. So, we all slowly got out the car carefully and turned on the flashlights like second nature. My one friend spewed onto the ground, but wanted still to go. "Now, that we're here anyone chicken may stay back," I stated. No one liked that ideal and stuck close together. Onto a dark and desserted trail we began our journey into the forest. The blackness engulfed the car when we looked behind us. Then all of sudden a rabit ran by and scared my friend into a frantic loon. I must admit we were all a little jumpy, but in the same boat together. Reminiscing of the old Jason movies we wanted more to go back. We came to a clearing and saw the river and railroad bridge off into the distance. A mild relief until we came to the next little forest path. As we came closer to our destination we saw a bricked gate with no trepassing signs. There was a barbed wire fence and a opened from which previous people used. The house was in sight, a big black sillouette of a old victorian. We used the crowbars to make the opening ajar for someone to proceed. I was picked and under peer pressure pushed through the opening. Scared, alone and shaking from the cold or what have you, just felt frightened. So I pushed from inside to get the opening bigger for the others. Glass and old wooden boards layed everywhere. That milduey and dusty aroma filled our noses. It was several degrees warmer iniside (especially with all the bodies). Then all of a SUDDEN my friend said "shhhhhhhhh, do you hear that?" whispering softly. We all heard a loud thumping noise getting closer and closer by the second. A ball fell down the steps from the dark reaches of the second floor. Naturally we all jumped, but yet curious. We walked around to see the upstairs. It blew a brisk zephyr down onto our frightened faces. Picked again I crept up the creeking staircase with a missing bannister. Then BAM I saw a door in the hallway open revealing a arm. A bloody arm with veins and the bone looked as though ripped freshly. A job not resembling something old, but something current. At the moment the only thing that ran through everyone's mind was to run. We did just that but the ajar door was closed by my friend. He looked possesed. Everyone could sense and backed off with knives and other weapons. We ran off from him to see a hung body from the ceiling fixture in what looked like a family room. We just frantically ran hitting each other in the process. The basement was our only hope. We ran down the steps until they fell. All got down all right and it came crashing down. The garage could be seen through a dug hole to it. Maybe the door was open. Not wasting time we filtrated through the hole and managed to get out. Running through the dark trail back to the car like chickens with their heads cut off, we managed to get back to see our possessed friend. He did'nt look it no more and said he was there the whole time. He said when th rabbit frightened him he ran back to the car. Believing this we slammed into the car wasting no time to speed out of there never to return. The night was not yet through with us, because when we got to the end of the road a car was parked off to the side. No one appeared to occupy it. So we continued on, until the lights came on and followed us. Scared but curious as always pulled over and saw a pitbull dog in the passenger seat fling spit and saliva all over the window as it raged at us. No one was in the driver's seat?! We looked up into the sky and saw red all around us. We're talking RED. Taking it as a bad omen we raced the pitbull car out of the area with a feeling of contentment and relief. The next day we called the cops about the house. They said they check it out. But, to this day we never got feedback from them. Kinda left us hangin'. Well, hoped ya enjoyed it, because from such an experience I am glad to be on the writer's end of the story not in it anymore. WHEW!!!!
