Welcome To Pseudo-Dos V1.1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What Is Pseudo-Dos ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pseudo-Dos was designed to be used as an interface between the Amos and the CLI, Allowing the user to perform specific DOS tasks (Such as Dir, Copy, Mkdir, Rename Etc). Pseudo-Dos is best loaded as an accessory and used when needed. Pseudo-Dos has most of the CLI commands available plus a few others e.g. Show Iff, Play Sample and Run Another AMOS Program. Improvements Over V1.0 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pseudo-Dos now has intelligent text reading routines. If a text file is too large to load and display, Pseudo-Dos will default to a partial loading system, enabling the text to be loaded and read. If memory is at a premium, Pseudo-Dos will close unwanted programs (e.g Workbench) where as Version 1.0 used to leave Workbench open, No matter how short on memory you were. Version 1.1 also has simple text creation routines enabling you to create text files etc. The Show IFF Routine works out the height, width and number of colours needed to display a picture. .....Bugs..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So far there have only been a few bugs that I have found. These Are:- 1.....The Show IFF Routine does not show interlace pictures as interlace pictures, but as a double height screen. 2.....The Directory Option will display a directory, and if chosen again will crash the computer losing ALL DATA (Bye Bye Version 1.05). As far as I can tell, This is a bug within AMOS 1.2, as AMOS 1.1 functions correctly, I have only had problems with Version 1.2.(Who knows, Could be my Amiga !) if you want to contact me (For bug reports, comments on Pseudo-Dos) write to:- Gary Shilvock, 118 Uplands Avenue, Rowley Regis, Warley, West Midlands.
