AMOS Basic V134 R AmosCalc R%RB ProCalc is no more, I have decided to change the name to AmosCalc(RH as the name ProCalc is often used for a certain commercial spreadsheet "R< program, which I think is really called Professional Calc. R( I wish they would make up their minds! R'RF AmosCalc is a scientific calculator designed to run from the editor 'RF as an accessory. This version is much improved over earlier versions.$R@ Most bugs have been removed, more error checks have been added, R Fix now works. R'RF When Fix is selected you must click on the number of places after the'RF the decimal point which you require, and then click on the = key. If &RD you enter the wrong number of places, use the c/ce key and re-enter(RH your number. After pressing the = key your number will be re-displayed.'RF Note that unlike real calculators there is no rounding either up nor R down of the displayed number.R 'RF There is a new menu item in the options menu, selecting the Copy --> (RH option will copy the displayed figure to the program that is currently *RL being edited. The figure will be inserted at the current cursor position, 'RF if the cursor is in the middle of a line, the line will be opened out(RH to make room for the extra text. A limitation of this system is that if)RJ you intend to use this feature, the cursor will have to be placed at the "R< correct position in the editor before calling AmosCalc. R&RD Brackets are only partly supported in this version, that is I have (RH started work on them, but they still do not work under many conditions 'RF and operator precedence is not taken into account. Only 3 levels are (RH currently supported, so pressing the ( key 4 times without pressing the(RH ) key will cause an error. I have not disabled the () keys but in this R8 version I strongly recommend that you just ignore them.R (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED). R$R@ note that the = button is not exactly the same as the ) button,$R@ and so to be absolutely sure of getting the correct answer, you'RF must end the sum by closing the last bracket, rather than using the (RH evaluate button. Also the clear (c/ce) key if used during a calculation&RD using brackets, will clear the entire calculation and cannot yet beR$ used to clear just the last entry. R%RB Please note that AmosCalc was not designed to manipulate powers, (RH however, if a number is to large to be displayed, it will be displayed +RN as the number + power eg. 1024.5 15 which means 1024.5 to the power of 15. %RB If the number becomes small enough again the display will return R to normal. R)RJ Due to all of the changes that have been made, the code size has gone up 'RF quite a lot, I am sure that there are more efficient ways to code the&RD display routine, but my first priority is to get everything working R properly.AmBs
