Amiga On Line Whales Voyages 2
Neo Software has announced this RPG, which is the sequel to a game published some years ago by Flair. The original Whale Voyages was a bizzarre mix between Elite and Dungeon Master, but the final result wasn't satisfying, infact playability was inesistent.
Now the original developers of the game have abandoned Flair to join Neo and decided to change a lot their creature. W.V.2 is a combination between a 3D role play and a trading-strategy simulation. The programmers promise a
smooth 3D gfx, 72 computer-driven characters to interact with, 11 planetary sysitems to explore, individual skills for every componet of your team, Silicon Gfx animations, and music recorded on a real studio. The features of
this title are astonishing but is to be seen if playability will results as good as technical aspect or will be the same of W.V.1 (i.e. VERY POOR). The game should be already avaible in Germany, when we will receive a reviewable version
we will do a complete test. W.V.2 will be avaible only for A1200 floppy and CD-Rom.
La Neo Software ha annunciato questo RPG, che è il sequel di un gioco uscito qualche anno fa sotto etichetta Flair. L'originale Whale Voyages era un bizzarro mix traw Elite e Dungeon Master, ma il risultato finale non era molto soddisfacente infatti mancava totalmente di giocabilità.
Ora gli sviluppatori originari del gioco hanno lasciato la Flair per unirsi alla Neo e hanno deciso di modificare radicalmente la loro creatura. W.V.2 è il risultato della combinazione di un RPG in 3D e di una simulazione strategica e di commercio. I programmatori promettono
una fluida grafica in 3D, 72 personaggi guidati dal computer con cui interagire, 11 sistemi planetari da esplorare, abilità differenti per ogni componete del team, animazioni realizzate su Silicon Gfx, e musiche registrate in un vero studio. Le caratteristiche di
questo titolo sono stupefacenti ma resta sempre da vedere se la giocabilità sarà altrettanto convincente dell'aspetto tecnico o se sarà la stessa di W.V.1 (cioè MOLTO POCA). Il gioco dovrebbe essere già uscito Germania, quando riceveremo una versione recensibile non tarderemo
a testarla. W.V.2 sarà disponibile solo per A1200 su dischi e CD-Rom.
