Netscape Navigator on the Amiga?
Netscape Corp. has considered the opportunity of a porting of the Netscape Navigator on Amiga.

OTM Lives?
Someone is spreading the news that OTM is no-more with us. This is not sure because nobody at OTM confirmed that the glorious software house has close down.
We hope that this is only due to a misunderstanding! Stay tuned for more info.
NEO Software, games form Germany
The software house that published Fightin' Spirit and Black Viper (both created by the italian programmers of LightShock)
has a great variety of software for Amiga on offer that is directly avaible only in Germany or via mail order. Apart Cedric and Whales Voyages 2,
previewed in this issue and the already mentioned Fightin' Spirit and Balck Viper (wich are avaible both on CD and floppy), from Neo are also avaible:
The Clou! a graphic adventure for both floppy and CD systems, set in '50 in London with a good gfx;
Dark Universe a game like Breed 2000 or Dune 2 with a beautiful gfx and scenes with Motion Capture technique.
Spherical Worlds this game has been reviewed on number 2 and rated 85%, it's a shoot'em up with a good playability.

Viscorp and Phase 5 what future for Amiga?
This is the second part of our in deep look to Amiga buyout situation, but VISCorp hasn't bought Amy Tech. yet.
Rumors reports that VISCorp is no more going to buy the intellectual properties of Amiga, but should try an accord with future owners.
The situatiom is not very clear, so we hope to have more info next month.
From Phase 5' side of the Amiga scene things look better, infact at the Computer '96 held in Colonia the german hardware producer presented
to the Amiga community (after the "preview" at IPISA '96) the Power UP boards. At the moment the release date for the market is the first quater of '97,
while the prototype for developers are already been given to the Power Up project subscribers (Digita, Cloanto, Maxxon, ProDad, Nova Design, Haage & Partners etc..).
The price is good starting from 1200DM for the PPC 604e150 Mhz (with also the 68040/25Mhz for a full compability with all the existent software) and ending with the dream board with a PPC 604e 240Mhz with a 68060/48Mhz.
At the Colonia show was also presented the p-OS (from ProDad), the probable OS for Power Amigas. Computer '96 was a big success for all Amiga developers, with hundreds of new goodies in show.
Was also present the team behind A\Box, wich will be probably released for the end of '97. Computer '96 showed us that Amiga is alive, with a big number of new developments to
bring the "old" C= machine to a new era and to a new life. The moment of the revenge is near!

Netscape Navigator per Amiga?
Netscape Corp. ha considerato la possibilità di un porting del loro celebre Netscape Navigator su Amiga.

E' viva l'OTM?
Qualcuno sta insistentemente diffondendo la notizia che la OTM non sarebbe più tra noi. Tutto ciò non è stato confermato da nessuno alla OTM.
Speriamo che si tratti di uno scherzo di qualche mattacchione (se lo becco gli spacco la faccia)! Restate sintonizzati per ulteriori notizie.
Hellpigs in Italiano
Un nostro caro lettore ci ha segnalato la notizia (peraltro poi confermataci dalla Vulcan stessa) che Hellpigs, l'avventura grafica che probabilmente
segnerà un nuovo standard nel suo genere (almeno su Amiga) sarà totalmente tradotta in Italiano (speriamo bene...), inoltre la versione su CD-Rom includerà scene in FMV
e dialoghi doppiati da attori professionisti con i sottotitoli nella nostra lingua! L'uscita è prevista per metà gennaio, forse per il prossimo numero...
NEO Software, giochi dalla Germania
La software house che ha pubblicato Fightin' Spirit e Black Viper (entrambi creati dai programmatori italiani della LightShock)
ha prodotto una grande quantità di software per Amiga che è disponibile solo in Germania oppunre direttamente via posta presso la Neo stessa. Oltre a Cedric e Whales Voyages 2,
anticipati in questo stesso numero e i già menzionati Fightin' Spirit e Balck Viper (che sono entrambi disponibili sia su CD che su floppy), presso la Neo si possono ordinare anche:
The Clou! un'avventura grafica ambientata nella Londra degli anni '50, con una buona grafica e disponibile sia su floppy che su CD;
Dark Universe un gioco sullo stile di Breed 2000 e Dune 2 con una bellissima grafica e alcune scene in Motion Capture.
Spherical Worlds questo gioco è stato recensito nel numero 2 e valutato 85%, è essenzialmente uno shoot'em up con uma buona giocabilità.

Viscorp e Phase 5 che futuro per Amiga?
Questa è la "seconda puntata" della nostra nostra indagine sulla situazione della vendita di Amiga, ma VISCorp non ha ancora acquistato Amy Tech.
Alcune voci dicono che VISCorp non sarebbe più interessata all'acquisto delle proprietà intellettuali della tecnologia Amiga, ma vorrebbe optare per un accordo con i futuri proprietari.
La situazione non è molto chiara, quindi speriamo di disporre di informazioni più dettagliate e più sicure per il mese prossimo.
Dalle parti di Phase 5 le cose appaiono più rosee, infatti al Computer '96 di Colonia, la casa tedesca di hardware ha presentato
alla comunità di Amiga (dopo l'"antipasto" di IPISA '96) le schede Power UP. Al momento attuale la data di rilascio sul mercato è il primo quarto del '97,
mentre i prototipi per gli sviluppatori sono già stati consegnati ai sottoscrittori del progetto Power Up (tra questi: Digita, Cloanto, Maxxon, ProDad, Nova Design, Haage & Partners etc..).
Il prezzo è buono si parte infatti da 1200DM (circa 1 milione e 150 mila, se la Lira tiene) per la cheda con PPC 604e150 Mhz (con anche un 68040/25Mhz per una totale compatibilità con tutto il software esistente) per arrivare alla "scheda-sogno" composta da un PPC 604e 240Mhz e da un 68060/48Mhz.
Allo show di Colonia è stato anche presentato p-OS (della ProDad), che probabilmente diverrà l'OS per i Power Amigas. Computer '96 è stato un grande successo per tutti gli sviluppatori Amiga, con centinaia di nuovi prodotti presentati.
Era anche presente il team di realizzazione del mitico A\Box, che sarà molto probabilmente rilasciato entro la fine del '97. Computer '96 ci ha mostrato che Amiga è tutt'altro che morta, con un gran numero di nuovi prodotti che porteranno
il "vecchio" computer della C= verso una nuova era e verso una nuova vita. Il momento della vendetta è vicino!
