News from Vulcan
Also this month we have a lot of new releases announced by Vulcan in their Mini Series range of games. The games that will
be released during 1997 are: WASTED DREAMS an action adventure, FIVE ASIDE FOOTBALL an indoor football simulator like Microprose Soccer Indoor,
PINBALL BRAIN DAMAGE a very interesting pinball simulator with some features like Pinball Illusion only for A1200, GENETIC SPECIES of
whom we haven't more news, ALIEN OLIMPICS a futuristic sport simulation and Valhalla 4 the forth chapter in Valhalla series.
Effigy
Another software house has come back in Amiga scene, it's Effigy; the authors of Pinball Prelude ( reviewed this month in his CD version ),
have announced a lot of new releases only in the CD-Rom format. The first one will be Ffigy a Lemmings clone with a good graphic and a very
good playability; in November ( 1996 ) they will release Necromantics a 3D scrolling puzzle game. These games will be on CD-Rom in the double format
AMIGA - PC and will run on all the AGA Amiga. For non-AGA owners XP8 is on the way, this good shoot'em up reviewed in number 1 ( 75% ) will be cut down
in graphics and sound but is guaranteed the same playability, avaible soon.
Legends of Rome
The italian publisher of Micro Mortal Tennis ( Amiga on line number 1, 94% Star Award ), CPU Italian System, will release at the beginning of 1997 a Sim City-like game
programmed by MBM. The game called Legends of Rome will allow to control the grow of the roman empire. We haven't seen nothing yet but we hope it
will be as playable as Sim City and the Settlers. Expect a preview very soon.
Viscorp and Phase 5 what future for Amiga?
Viscorp hadn't already bought Amiga Technologies so there are no news from America, the important news come from Germany
infact Phase 5 continues developing his A/Box ( which will be avaible at the end of 1997 ) and the Power PC boards ( avaible at the beginning of 1997 ).
At the IPISA ( the italian Amiga programmers conference ) Haage & Partners presented a prototype of the Phase 5' Power PC board running various programs
created with Storm C 2.0, the power of this board is incredible and will surely bring Amiga to a new era. At IPISA was also presented the BeBox a new
computer created by Be inc. wich seems to have the same potentialities Amiga had in 1985. The Amiga is not dead, 1997 will be the year of the beginnig
of a new era made by Power PC chips and new developments.
Novità dalla Vulcan
Anche questo mese ci sono un sacco di nuove uscite annunciate dalla Vulcan nella loro Mini Series. I giochi che saranno
pubblicati durante il 1997 sono: WASTED DREAMS un'action adventure, FIVE ASIDE FOOTBALL un simulatore di calcetto come Microprose Soccer Indoor,
PINBALL BRAIN DAMAGE un simulatore di flipper molto interessante con alcune carratteristiche simili a Pinball Illusion solo per A1200, GENETIC SPECIES di
cui non abbiamo altre notizie, ALIEN OLIMPICS un silulatore di sport futuristico e Valhalla 4 il quarto capitolo nella serie di Valhalla.

Un' altra software house è ritornata sulla scena Amiga, è la Effigy; i creatori di Pinball Prelude ( recensito questo mese in versione CD ),
hanno annunciato un sacco di nuove uscite solo in formato CD-Rom. Il primo sarà Ffigy un clone di Lemmings con una bella grafica e un' ottima giocabilità;
in Novembre ( 1996 ) pubblicheranno Necromantics un puzzle game co scrolling 3D. Questi giochisaranno solo su CD-Rom nel doppio formato AMIGA - PC
e richiederanno un' Amiga AGA. Per i possessori di Amiga non AGA sta arrivando XP8, questo buon shoot'em up recensito sul numero 1 ( 75% ) sarà ridotto per quanto riguarda
grafica e sonoro ma è garantita la stessa giocabilità, sarà disponibile presto.
Legends of Rome
Il pubblicatore di Micro Mortal Tennis ( Amiga on line numero 1, 94% Star Award ), la italianissima CPU Italian System, pubblicherà all'inizio del 1997 un clone di Sim City
programmato dalla MBM. Il gioco si chiama Legends of Rome e permetterà di controllare lo sviluppo dell'impero romano. Al momento non abbiamo visto nulla del gioco ma confidiamo che
sia giocabile qunto Sim City e The Settlers. Aspettatevi una preview a brever.
Viscorp e Phase 5, quale futuro per Amiga?
Viscorp non ha ancora acquistato Amiga Technologies perciò non ci sono notizie dall' America, le notizie importanti vengono dalla Germania
infatti Phase 5 continua lo sviluppo del suo A/Box ( che sarà disponibile alla fine del 1997 ) ae delle schede Power PC ( disponibili all' inizio del 1997 ).
A IPISA ( la convention italiana di programmatori Amiga ) Haage & Partners ha presentato un prototipo della scheda Power PC di Phase 5 che faceva girare alcuni programmi
creati con lo Storm C 2.0, la potenza di queste schede è immensa e porteranno sicuramente Amiga ad una nuova era. A IPISA è stato presentato anche il BeBox un nuovo
computer creato dalla Be inc. che sembra avere le stesse potenzialità che Amiga ebbe nel 1985. Amiga non è morto, il 1997 sarà l' anno dell' inizio di una nuova era
fatta di chip Power PC e nuovi progetti.
