Animations can be played in TrueColor (or whatever you select) on the EGS default screen (for playback on Workbench screen incl. The memory usage is very low this way (also memory is needed to hold a frame in full size as loaded and in converted form for EGS). Since version 2.0 also random access harddisk sequences can be shown. * EGS-TV-Player uses its own very high quality (21Bit) color decoding routines. It can also show sequences in greyscales. * EGS-TV-Player supports (besides a filename) additional CLI parameters: The "Once" parameter can be used to play the animation only once; default is to play as endless loop. The "Delay" parameter can be used to specify an additional frame delay (in 1/50ths of a second). Without this parameter, playback will be as fast as possible (this is also the case for Workbench start). Just close the window to stop the sequence. If EGS-TV-Player is started from Workbench or without file argument, a file requester will appear. * EGS-TV-Player runs in a window on the EGS-Default-Screen. * You can start EGS-TV-Player several times concurrently to watch several sequences at the same time. * Please note that EGS-TV-Player runs fastest on 24Bit-Screens even if you view a sequence in greyscales. This is because the EGS-System dithers on lower screen depths, which takes lots (!) of time. Sequences in a suitable format can e.g. be created with *** EGS-TV Professional *** the ultimate Animation, Video Editing, DeskTopVideo, Blue-Box-Effect, Framegrabber and handy scanner software for the EGS graphic system with e.g. VLab, IV24, VideoCruncher framegrabbers or assembled from single pictures. For more information, take a look at EGS-TV. EGS-TV is shareware, the professional version (including harddisk recording) can be registered for only 31US$ outside europe (in europe: 40DM). Besides EGS-TV you can also use famous image processing programs to create such animations (see above).
