Tis archive contains several files intended to introduce some of the new
features expected to be in Persistance Of Vision Raytracer V3.0 when it
is released. The text file POV30.TXT is a message containing a list (not
necessarily complete) of features for 3.0.
The image files are each in two formats: JPEG 100% (no-loss), and PCHG IFF,
displayable with Mostra, or any of several other "show" programs. PCHG means
Palette CHanGe, wherein each horizontal line of the image contains a change
of the palette information. The images are as follows:

3vases.jpg shows a variety of the new textures available with 3.0, as well
as some of the atmospheric effects.
3vases.iff PCHG HalfBrite version of same image (Thanks HAMLab!!)
rwin_b.jpg a deceptively simple scene, showing haze and Radiosity(!)
rwin_b.iff PCHG HiRes version (again, HAMLab)
TstRad.jpg Radiosity test image. Note particulary how the red left wall
causes a red tinting of the left edge of the white rear wall,
and observe how light reflected off the checkerboard floor
affects the lower edges of the yellow SuperEllipsoid object.
Display with as much color resolution as your system can use.
TstRad.iff PCHG Halfbrite version.

The Amiga version of POV-Ray 3.0 will be available with the familiar text
based interface from previous POV versions, and will soon after be released
with a GUI front-end for the renderer (but no modeller yet)
Support is in place for HAM and HAM8 preview screens while rendering, and
is planned for CyberGrafx 24 bit board interfaces for all 24 bit display
boards supported by the CyberGrafx software.
