	Welcome to my first AREXX program for CNet 3.05c. Many thanks to
Dotoran for his AREXX help files and many AREXX programs which I used to
learn from. Also, Thanks to Antero Jussila from Winsdor, Ontario for the
game Amiga Gameroom. Much of the routines I used came from that game. All
the programs I referred to showed me different ways of doing things in
AREXX and it was much easier than learning AREXX from a book and then
applying it to CNet.
	Wall Street Blues, adopted from a board game, is a much better
program than most stock market games. You may spend a total of two minutes
a day inside this game, which is about the amount of time you may spend on
the phone with your broker. The prices are updated during nightly
maintenance, which is also the time the high scores and rankings are
computed. When stock prices pass $200 per share the stock splits giving
everyone twice as many shares as they had before and the price per share
drops to $108. If a stock drops below $1 per share then that share goes
bankrupt and everyone loses the number of shares of that stock that they
owned. The stock price then stays at $0 for the entire day and will not
allow anyone to purchase any of that stock. During maintenance that night
the stock is reinitialized to $100 per share and then under goes the normal
price changes. That stock can then be purchased again. Resets are done on
the first of every month. Reset will take the current game and save it to
last months winners. This game was designed not to run longer than 31 days.
Every day in this game is represented as being one year.
	I hope I have created a pfile that will be used on many CNet BBSs.
Please respect my work on this program and not change the names and/or try
to redistribute under your own name. I have future plans for improvement
on this game. They will be sent out the same way in the future. Please
report any bugs you may find or improvements you may make to it. I'm also
open to any suggestions for improvements to this game. I can be E-Mailed
on Future World BBS under the handle Caesar or you can call my BBS direct.
I have online many other CNet support files for free download.

	4 December 1994: v2.0 Well, finally an update! What to improve on
this fine game? Well, I started by expanding the company biographies
(Renamed to Company Prospectus). Seems you always have one of these before
you get into any investing anyway. It now gives you a history of the stocks
performance and an average gain percentage. Any of your users try to keep
this on paper? I also added the menu items for the screens you see when you
first get into the game. Seems I was always getting out of the game and
going back in to see them again. I added the Dow Jones index and the Dow
Jones percentage of gain. This works like a users account owning 1 share of
each stock. When splits occur then it adds a share so the index keeps
rising. When a stock goes bankrupt then it resets the shares in the Dow
Jones to 1. I haven't heard from anybody on suggestions for changes so the
resulting product is from my own imagination from the basic game. I do
appreciate the few people who have called to inform me of the bugs they
found. It helps alot in getting out a quality game.

INSTALATION: THIS VERSION WILL NOT WORK WITH EARLIER VERSIONS!

	1. Uncrunch the LHA archive into your Pfiles/Stocks directory. Adopt
WallStreet into your pfiles as an AREXX program.
	2. Add Date to your BBS Events to run every day. (also AREXX)
What time you have it run really doesn't matter.
	3. If you want to reward your wealthiest player then add TimeAward
to your sys.welcome file. When a caller calls the first time of the day he
will be given 30 minutes of extra time online. This time disappears if not
used during the first call of the day. In your sys.welcome file the line
should read;

      {#0Pfiles/Stocks/TimeAward}
      ^
      | This is a control Q

NOTE: All files should be in pfiles/stocks directory!

UPDATING FROM EARLIER VERSIONS;
 You must copy all new files over the old files! The new files have been
changed so much that they will not work with earlier version files. The
following files which relate to the running of your current game do not
have to be changed or deleted;

ST.DATA
U3
U4
SU.DATA
T3
Winning

 As long as these files stay intact, you can update and continue your
current game. One exception is that earlier version allowed only $10,000 to
start with and the current version allows $20,000. You can edit the
individual data files to give them an additional $10,000 if you like. That
figure should be stored on the second to the last line.

DONATIONS: If you use this game on your BBS, I would appreciate it if you
would send a donation my way. Even $1 would be nice to receive for this
game. If you can afford more then send whatever you think the game is
worth. In the future I plan to do a statistical boxing simulation. Can't
expect much for graphics in it. I plan to make it a progressive game that
users will be able to go into the game and fight other users fighters for
the championships. There will also be computer fighters to keep the game
going. Fighters will have over 10 different stats rating their abilities.
This will not be a lame game! And of course the fighters will get old and
retire! Depending on the number of donations I recieve from this game will
decide whether I need to program in C for future games. Send any donations
to;
