Is there currently a way of tapping into the internal editor?

unique to demand being incorporated into Cnet itself.)

Or some such method of modifying text from within the existing editor.
(I think you'll find more sysops (and callers alike) wanting to stick
with the powerful internal editor, instead of replacing it in full.
If we could just to add a feature or 2 here and there.)

Once in the editor, a .cmd could allow you to re-answer all the
earlier questions.

While entering your text, you might have decided this would be better
as an Anonymous/Private/Alias/Handled/Re-titled post.  Currently you

Should maybe re-ask those initial questions too.
(If you've rethought (or messed-up) your text enough to need a major ".N",
restart, then you might need to do the flags over, also.)

I really just need (#2) but #1/#3 might be done for completeness.
#2 would to keep an "overall total used" value.
Many systems have a "$x per yr" charges.  So each yr all the other
totals will get reset.
For paying members:
   See a total $x spent.
For non-paying members:
   See that you've gotten a total of $123.45 of access for free.

A new Don't-Do-Anything-When-Min-Balance-Is-Hit bit would
be handy also.  I think more SysOps (including me) would use the
accounting system if it had a way of "Don't automatically lock this
user out forever as soon as min-balance is hit" feature.

BELLS and KOLORIFIC used excessively can be very annoying.
(But both level 1)

The ability to even enter a single "\" char with "\\".
(Can't do it if MCI level 0 even though displaying a single "\"
is totally harmless.)

Can't give a user the power to display a user's name without also
giving him per-char-delay power.  (Both are level 2)
(That code drives me crazy when I'm paying phone rates to Califonia
at 19200 speeds only to see 300bps-like displays.)

Grant ANY level 3 codes with/without also granting ALL level 2 codes.
Grant ANY level 2 codes with/without also granting ALL level 1 codes.
Can't grant ANY level 3 codes without also granting sysop maintenance access.

We'd all go nuts trying to agree on which MCI levels did what unless...
An MCI.cfg file could tell which MCI levels had access to which codes:

You'd just set a value 0-255.  MCI.cfg would be checked and the user
could only use those MCI codes.

    While not immediately showing the verbose purpose of each flag, it

These can be very important.
I can immediately see that this caller has flag 13 (MCI level 2) and

When I create a new UDbase I can have "/" ":" and other needed chars
in my title field.  (Personally I think EVERY char should be available here.)

But when I [EL] and try to change the [T]itle, the same chars "/" ":" etc,
now can't be entered.

I guess I'm looking for more of a "questionairre" type prg.
But very similar to Vote's "multiple choice questions" set-up.

Ask a user 10 multiple choice questions in a row, on the same subject,
without making him enter 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10.  (Or allowing him to
pick/skip around.)

Any plans (or current way) to make a quick-creation account cmd?  I'll
often tell someone that they can/should call my system.  But hate to
see them have to go through all the user questions, (C-net's fixed, C-
net's configuratable, and my own) that I DO want the general public to
be forced to answer.

With "Quick-Account" I'd enter just 3 things:
The user name, password, access level.
Later, when the user called, he could log right in instantly.
He could fill in all the blank fields of his account (including the
answering of the questionairres):
 1) During his 1st call.
 2) At his leisure, on any call.
 3) Not at all.

Would it be possible to have a SysOp<->Chat feature that would turn-off
all user input whenever the SysOp is typing?  The user wouldn't be
able to enter anything starting with the SysOp's 1st keystroke.  The
user would once again be allowed to, after the SysOp hits RETURN.
(Signifying he's done with his sentence.)

(Or maybe buffer all the caller's keystrokes and THEN display them
when he (the SysOp) hits RETURN.

It could impose a min/max short note, a min/max long-note, ask the

It would then format it to your tastes and post it.
