SEARCH is a small utility which will search through a disk/directory
and attempt to identify the files that it finds there. SEARCH will
descend right down through the directory tree structure finding all
files and attempting to identify them. SEARCH V2.08 currently knows
about 50 different file types ranging from ASCII text to files with
hunks (such as fonts, libraries and devices) to various archive types
and also numerous crunchers.

To invoke SEARCH type at the CLI prompt (no workbench support):

         SEARCH <device or direcory>

examples SEARCH df0: will search the disk in df0:
SEARCH df1:files will search the directory files in df1:
SEARCH ? will give some help information
SEARCH - will display all file types recognized

If the argument after SEARCH is a file then you will be told such and
dropped back out to the CLI prompt.

SEARCH was originally written as a tutorial in AmigaFORMAT magazine
by Paul Overaa but was found and enhanced by Paul Hunt in 1992. This
version current as of 1st August 1992.
