AM --- AmigaMail
(C) 1991 by Christian Riede

AM is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY
WARRANTY. No author or distributor accepts responsibility to anyone for
the consequences of using it or for whether it serves any particular
purpose or works at all, unless he says so in writing. Refer to the GNU
General Public License, Version 1, for full details.

Everyone is granted permission to copy, modify and redistribute AM, but
only under the conditions described in the GNU General Public License,
Version 1. A copy of this license is supposed to have been given to you
along with AM so you can know your rights and responsibilities. It should
be in a file named COPYING. Among other things, the copyright notice and
this notice must be preserved on all copies.

In addition to that, it is explicitely forbidden to sell this program or
modified versions of this program on a seperate Disk for more than DM 5.-
(Deutsche Mark) or equivalent in any other currency. As an exception to
that, Fred Fish is especially allowed to charge more if the the Program is
included into the AmigaLibDisk serie.

The conditions for copying the library ixemul.library can be found in the
file COPYING.LIB. According to the license, the full source code for the
library is availible from me on request, but I recommend getting it via ftp
from amiga.physik.uni-zh.ch, where always the latest version can be found.

AM requires OS 2.04 (KS 37.175)

Please note that AM V1.14 is still beta! Do not use it unless you are able
to read C-Code and familiar with some internals of AmigaUUCP(+). Wait for
the first final release that will come out really soon now!

For installation see file am.tex (section "Installation"). Hints for use
in QUICK-GUIDE, full documentation in am.tex (ok, could be more, but better
than nothing... :-)

If you find the program useful, feel free to make contributions to the
author (suggest $10)

Remember to do a "makecontents" for each user when updating to a new
version of AM

To display multimedia mail, AM uses parts of the metamail package. It can
be obtained from thumper.bellcore.com via anonymous ftp. Here the original
