Little is known about the Vorlon
Ambassador Kosh, and even less about the Vorlon race. Both the Earth Alliance
and the Centauri Republic sent exploration craft into Vorlon space but both
dissapeared without a trace. Ever since his first arrival on Babylon 5 in 2256,
Kosh has always kept a low profile and rarely attended Council meetings stating,
that the affairs of others were not his concerns. Kosh wears what is referred to
as an Environment Suit but is thought to only be a disguise. Delenn once
revealed that Kosh hides his true form within this suit, to avoid being
recognised. Kosh usually stores his organic ship in Bay 13, a bay that many
maintenence crew now refuse to enter.
Shortly after his arrival on the
Station in 2257, Kosh was poisoned and Commander Sinclair was framed for the
attack. Once Captain Sheridan had taken command of Babylon 5, Kosh began to
observe things more closely and had many meetings with Sheridan to help the
Captain learn about himself. At the close of the year 2259, Kosh left his suit
to save Sheridan's life as he jumped from a transport tube over the Babylon 5
gardens. Lyta Alexander now serves as his aide after returning with him from the
Vorlon Homeworld in 2260. Later that year, after Kosh had ordered Vorlon forces
to attack a group of advancing Shadow ships, he was attacked and killed in his
quarters. During the fight Kosh spoke to Sheridan's mind while the Captain
slept. Even since his death he still seems to be with Sheridan in some way and
often speaks to him. Kosh's death was kept a secret at the request of the Vorlon
Empire and his replacement arrived shortly after. When asked his name the new
Vorlon simply replied "Kosh. We are all Kosh". |
