As you may know if you have already read Bluey`s sign-off article, *The Lair!* has changed hands. If you haven`t, suffice it to say it was taking up a lot of his time.
If you regularly visit the site, you may have seen Bluey`s reasons for his departure, and also that he was offering the post of editor here to those that wished to come forward. So, foolish me, I scribbled of a quick mail, saying, yeah, I`ll do it. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.
So, to prove my knowledge-ability about things computer and Amiga related, I was asked, as I presume all the other applicants were, to produce an article about the two new 56k technologies, comparing and contrasting the two, which is in this issue.
So that ends my side of the story. I *suppose* I`ll whip up a decent personal page sometime, I.e. when I get my picture colour scanned :-), but that`s it for now.
And here is where I pick it up. Fortunately for me, the vast majority of Amiga owners care a great deal about the wellbeing of their machine. And this, at the risk of using a cliché (and only 4 paras. in!), is where you come in. A magazine can`t exist without articles, and I know I can`t do enough articles by myself. I`m calling on you people who have dreams of getting published, people that think they have something worthwhile to say, and all people who just want to get their name up in HTML. Send me your articles, in ASCII text, or HTML. I may or may not include the article, if you`ve sent it as HTML I may change the design (probably), but you can have your say. You will have copyright over the text of you article, so fire up your word processor or text editor, and send me it. If more people do this, then *The Lair!* continues providing informative and thought provoking insights from the end user. Which is a Good Thing ™
This being the summer, I have labelled this the "Summer Diet" edition of *The Lair!*. The computer industry in general, not just the Amiga, takes a break for summer. Maybe that`s not true. To be precise, nothing much happens. But you can rest assured, whatever happens news wise, *The Lair!* will be there.
I hope you enjoy reading this issue, and it should get better. I hope :-)
