Richmond, VA - Nova Design, Inc. would like to announce, and apologize, for the delay in the release of our upcoming Aladdin 4D 5.0. The delay, while minor, exceeds what Nova would normally allow for in our products.

In June, 1996, Nova purchased Aladdin 4D from Adspec Programming/Greg Gorby with a modest idea; update the Aladdin 4D interface and manual and quickly release it to the Amiga market to be followed by larger upgrades later.

Instead, we went beyond this and began creating new features as we began upgrading. Interesting new programming challenges came up and our programmers rose to meet them. The result was that we became a bit side-tracked from our original goals, while creating some impressive new features for Aladdin 4D, but this was at the cost of advancing the development of the new interface.

As it stands now we have a bit of interface work left to do, some debugging, and a lot of beta testing. This period of testing cannot be accurately estimated so we're not promising a specific release date in this time around. We feel it's more important that you, our customers, know we're working every day towards the release of Aladdin, instead of merely counting down towards a date.

We would like to make an offer to take on interested Aladdin 4D owners as beta testers for the new version. The offer isn't necessarily for everyone as the testing will be extensive and require much of those doing it, but the rewards will be that you'll watch Aladdin 4D transform before your eyes as it sheds its old cocoon and takes flight on brand new wings!

If you're still interested, check our web site under the Aladdin 4D logo, and select the Beta Test Agreement. Capture and print out the beta test agreement, complete it, mail it to us, and we'll notify you by email if you've made it! Space in the beta program is limited so apply soon!

Thanks again for bearing with us - the wait will be worth it!
