Below is where I put the responses I get from the different software
companies to the games petition.

I have now sent out the second 130 responses which gives a total of 350 to the
following Software Companies:
Blue Byte, DID, LucasArts, Bullfrog

Response from 21st Centuary to the petition.
Dear Ed,
Thank you for including 21st Century Entertainment in the recent distribution of your petition.
Our company started out selling Amiga games and supported this platform for a number of years.
We were forced to discontinue when our distribution channels refused to carry Amiga product.
We understand that there are still many Amiga owners who would like to have new games but unfortunately
publishers like ourselves rely on distribution to sell product and therefore are no longer able to support
this platform.

Response from Bitmap Brothers to the petition.
We are no longer developing for the Amiga - Chaos Engine 2 was our last title for the format.

Response from Audiogenic to the petition.
Audiogenic willl continue to publish Amiga games as long as there is a
demand, and provided that we do not have to develop the games from scratch,
which would be far too risky.
The main problem is that most of the multiple retailers refuse to stock new Amiga titles.

Response from DID to the petition.
This is great stuff. Keep up the good work. I own both an A1200 and a
PC and going back to the good ol' Amiga when necessary is like a
breathe of fresh air.
As usual i'll pass the petition onto the relevant chaps. Well done
mate.

Hello,
Thank you for you email, it's brilliant to see such a response from so many
people who obviously feel so strong about their favourite games machine.
The sad news is we have no future plans to continue developing on the Amiga,
and are now concentrating on producing on other platforms.
We owe alot to the Amiga market, but unfortunately it isn't
quite what it used to be, although we enjoy working on the Amiga, we feel we
must too move along onto to new projects.
I will forward on your emails to our producers for them to have a read
through.

Response from Empire to the petition.
Thanks for your email.
Unfortunately publishers have to consider where to invest the time of their
programming teams - obviously the one area always considered will be the PC
because of its already vast, and increasing, consumer base.
This means that we rely on people to send in their designs and demos, or
preferably full versions, of their own Amiga games, because we can't afford
to invest the time of our programmers in the Amiga.
The last Amiga game we received that was worth releasing was Coala, and at
least one Amiga game is sent to us every six months. Amiga programmers
don't seem to exist any more.
I think its time to let the memory of the Amiga rest in peace - at least
until its resurrected.

Thanks for your email.
Our current situation is that we're waiting to see what happens with the
Amiga, but I will get the guys to examine the games in detail rather
than dismissing them out-right.

Hi,
Thanks for your mail. The Amiga situation is not as simple as you think. For
one thing major distributors will not touch them, which means if we cannot get
them in the shops then we cannot sell them. It's supply and demand as usual.
Amiga games, through a process of evolution, are now a cottage industry - good
luck to all involved.

Response from Gremlin to the petition.
Being an Amiga fan myself I hope that the system bounces back and makes an impact.
At the moment we have turned our attentions to different formats and do not
have any Amiga Titles in development.

Seven replies so far. The responses have shown a bit of
improvement from the software companies and the replies from DID and Empire show
some signs of hope. If any amiga owners who are developing games send them to
Empire and if they are good enough they might be willing to release them.
Hopefully Psygnosis UK might have a better reply than the US branch.
The Petition will be continued to be sent out to more software companies
as I find their e-mail addresses.
