There is a nice Plug-In to use the professional
scanner driver ScanQuix 3 (supports HP-, EPSON- and PARAGON scanners) directly
from ArtEffect. Download.

New Toolbox Icons |
There are some wonderful new icon sets to
replace the standard toolbox icons. One colored, two gray-scale and two
monochrome sets (one with Apple Macintosh style). Download.
Installation: The LHA archive contains 6 icon sets. After decompressing you should copy your favorite one to the directory ARTEFFECT: and rename it to AEIconGfx.iff. Hint: If you would like to have other icons you can paint or collect your own ones. Just take the file AEIconGfx.iff and change it the way you want.
Installation: Das LHA-Archiv enthält 6 Icon-Sätze. Nach dem Entpacken kopiert man den gewünschten Satz in das Verzeichnis ARTEFFECT: und benennt ihn um in AEIconGfx.iff. Tip: Wer gerne andere Icons hätte, kann sich diese selbst malen oder zusammenstellen. Die Datei AEIconGfx liegt dazu im IFF-Format vor und kann einfach verändert werden.

PhotoCD and 32 Other Formats
Using this extension, ArtEffect can read 32 and write 20 additional file formats. Of particular interest is the ability to read the PhotoCD format. This will put all common and several more exotic file formats at your disposal. Specifically these are: PhotoCD, IFF-ILBM, IFF-ACBM, IFF-YUVN, IFF-DEEP, IFF-PBM, PCX, GIF 87a/89a, QRT/POV Raytrace, SVG, SunRaster, CorelDraw header, BMP (Windows, OS/2), JPEG (JFIF v6), TIFF, EPS header, FBM, Mac PICT-2, Targa, PNG, PNM (PBM, PGM, PPM), IMG (GEM graphics), WPG (WP bitmaps), MacPaint (Mac), C64 (Koala, Doodle), Windows icons, SGI, Pictor/PCPaint, PostScript(TM) (requires Ghostscript), FIG (requires AmiFIG), CGM (requires GPlot), Limbo (requires Limbo 4.0). In addition to these, C source code can be generated in Chunky/RGB format. Formats that do not support 24-bit graphics will be dithered to 256 colours.

This
package adds some sensational new Power Effects to ArtEffect. Use the flashy
Page Curl to curl up a corner of the page, create wave effects with Wave,
Wobble and Ripple. Distort images with Warp and ObjectWarp. Stretch it
all into a circle with Polar and use SmearBlur to give it the impression
of motion. Also included are the mysterious colour effects Lightchange,
Alien, Prism and Shift. A plethora of adjustable configuration parameters
lets you customize and combine these effects for countless possibilities.
The
ArtPad makes true painting possible. Its pressure-sensitive stylus fits
the hand perfectly, no cables are attached to hinder your movements. Use
it to draw thick or thin lines just like with a real brush - simply turn
it around to instantly turn it into an eraser. Only with the pressure-sensitive
ArtPad does true art come to life on your Amiga. This makes the ArtPad
the ideal companion for ArtEffect.
