The male Rahn is about 3,5 meters tall and have a big muscular body and powerful arms each powerful enough to crush an adult man. The female Rahn is slightly smaller, about a meter shorter and not as strong as the male.
They have a darkgreyish skin which is tough and gives some amount of absorbing against ballistic attacks.

The Rahn have not shown any signs of telepathic abilities.

As of 2241, the Rahn technically do not have a homeworld. The Korhonen invaded their homeworld in 2241 and many Rahn were killed. The remaining Rahn which consisted of quite a few managed to escape the planet in a huge fleet. The Rahn can not return to their homeworld either because the Korhonen reengineered the planet climate and atmosphere to their own physiology which the Rahn can't tolerate.

Since the Rahn were chased off their homeworld, they have now become a sort of nomadic race. Roaming the galaxy in search of a world that would be suitable for their needs. For this purpose they have managed to create huge ships that resemble the old 20th Century Earth Stealth Bombers. These ships are of varying sizes and can all dock with the huge mother ships and travel as one huge ship. Mostly seperating if under attack from other races to avoid having just one target or bringing cargo or fuel onto the main ship.

Some scientists say that the Rahn don't have the intelligence required to develop space-technology. They are though capable of manufacturing spaceships and a small array of weapons. Scientists are guessing that they learned the technology from another race with an unknown intention, but the design of the ships is not very similar to any other shipdesign seen yet. Either the Rahn have "enhanced" the design and by that made it look like something new or maybe they got their technology from a race that no one yet have met. Other scientists don't disagree but they think that more research should be done before coming to a conclusion. They are not villing to share their technilogy with other races and their ships have some sort of self-destruct function that sets in when the pilot dies which destroys all researchable debris. The Rahn is an excellent Pilot and a mortal oponent if he/she alone meets one or two targets, but if they face a group of opponents they are most likely to freak out and go bezerk. That is because they completely lack simultaneous-capacity and can't handle several things at the same time. They aren't even capable if cooperating with each other if they don't have time to think about it. It has happened that berzerking Rahn's have rammed command shipd and the self-destruct have wiped out the whole bridge. Some races capture male Rahn's and train for use as footsoldiers. They are very affective due to their natural loyalty to superiors. They are often used for bording ships with because of their large size and frightening looks. There are seldom much resistance in that type of battle. But inspite of all that the Rahn is not a Total-war-like race. They are fully capable of cooperating with eachother and other races if they expect something and are prepared. ie. if they have recieved specific orders from their commander.
