When you load up Tommy Gun you will be greeted with a brilliant intro sequence that
tells you the plot to the story. The intro has the phone ringing and Tommy Gun
watching TV.
The storyline goes like this; Aliens have arrived and have taken control of all the fruit
and veg and of many other people like clowns but they appear in a later level. You
have to take control of Tommy Gun who is a killer tomato and fight your way through
each level defeating all the creatures that have overrun the five levels and rescue any
captured buddies you come across. But your main goal is to stop and defeat the Aliens.
Alternatively their is also a two player mode of
which a friend can take control of Tommy Gun's sidekick Big Cheese.
The game is split into five levels each with their own degree of difficulty.
The first level is called Super Market City where you have to fight your way pass all the
fruit and veg in the supermarket.
The best way to stay alive is to free any prisoners that they have captured as they will give you extra ammo, first aid, shields and other extras
that will help to keep you alive so try not to accidentally kill them as it's easy to do that
when you're under fire. I find that if you miss freeing captive you will most likely end
up dead which is rather annoying if you are ahead in the game. Now the bad guys are
armed with machine guns and will occasionally fire lolly pops at you. If you are under
alot of fire you can quickly kill them if you fire a grenade or bomb.
At the end of level one you will be confronted by a big boss which is a big bad guy who
launches lolly pops. But unfortunately this is where the game loses marks as you can
predict the pattern of his attacks and it is pretty easy to kill the end of level bosses.
The game does provide a big challenge as really some levels can be a battle for survival.
As in level two you are on Paradise Island where you have to go up against a pirate ship
armed with cannons and pirates with machine guns.
Overall this game has been well presented and does provide a challenge but it can be
too easy in places which loses its addiction. Their aren't many of these types of
shoot'em ups around so it may be worth a look as it's only £12.99.

Sound 77%- "Brilliant music and sound effects especially in the intro"
Addiction 67% - "You lose the addiction against the big bosses as they are too easy"
Lastability 68% - "It gets harder as you go along so you have to get better to get further"
Overall "A shoot'em up that can be a little too easy in places but is very good in 2 player and after all it's only £12.99."
