Amiga Shows In Canada And Italy
(*)

(World_Of_Amiga_97)Amiga Shows seem to be popping out all over the place and with the Amiga Flame readership very much worldwide, I've decided to point them out so you could perhaps go along and see them.

The first show in the calendar is the World of Amiga Show in Canada, Ottawa being supported by Wonder Computers Intl. It will actually be held in one of there retail stores between Saturday September 6th 12:00PM until 7:00PM and Sunday September 7th 12:00PM until 5:00PM.

Amiga International and many personalities such as Jason Compton will be in attendence, so it should be a very entertaining show. For full info on how to get there and about the Show, read the Press Release below.

Press Release

(Wonder_Computers_Inc)The show will be free to attend, and we are also optionally registering our guests for $5.00. There will be door prizes and draws for our registered guests, as well as a free grab bag of over $100 of Amiga merchandise to the first 150 registered guests!

We have just confirmed the attendance of Amiga International at our show, and many others have planned to attend. There will be a demonstration of the Video Toaster and Flyer by "Radikal Productions" (Producers of nation-wide TV ad campaigns using the Amiga!). As well, there will be many interesting seminars from prominent Amiga personalities such as Jason Compton. Other Amiga developers will be on hand to demonstrate their products and answer questions.

We would like to offer every assistance we can for those who wish to make the trip up to Ottawa this upcoming September.

Please feel free to call, FAX or email us with any questions you may have.

Our Address is:

We would like everyone to register at our show, as our intentions are to start a mailing list in the fall that will keep all of our customers informed of news and specials at WCi and in the Amiga community.

There will be a game of Laser Tag at a location near our store on Saturday night. The cost is $13.50 CDN ($10 US) for an hour of play time. There will be a limit of 60 people allowed to go, so send email to kurt(@)wonder.ca to reserve a space!

There will be lots of specials and great pricing on Amiga software and hardware from all participating vendors!

Lots of parking, restaraunts, hotels, motels and ATM bank machines nearby.

Interested developers and retailers are encouraged to contact Mark Habinski at mark(@)wonder.ca to discuss their attenance.

Directions?: It's actually really easy to travel to our store!

For those not in our immediate area, here are a few maps:

Take the Highway #401 (from East or West) to Highway #16 (Near Prescott, Ontario) and turn North.

Highway #16 turns into #416 (a four lane version) about half way up to Ottawa and if you follow it into Ottawa you exit at the "Richmond Rd." and Highway #417 exit.

Proceeding East for approximately 4KM (3 miles), you will notice our store on the Left hand (North) side with the familiar sign:

Some good landmarks will be a large tent in our parking lot, which will be used to accomodate the additional space needed by our product vendors, and the large shopping mall across the street (Wal-Mart faces us).

So, come out and support your favourite computer! We hope to see you there!

And I hope that Italian Amiga Flame Readers will go to the big Amiga Show, Pianeta Amiga which I have been informed that Petro Tyschtschenko will be in attendence. It should be on sometime in November and will last for two days. Unfortunately I don't have much details for you as the Web Site is in Italian but I am sure you will understand it easily.

I am sure these shows will be very good and these shows see the coming together of the Amiga Community, and you see once again that the Amiga is still strong support. From what I have heard Amiga International will be using some Amiga Shows to learn of ideas of the future direction of the Amiga.
