This incredible demo will take your breath away with it being one of the most highly detailed and exciting demos I have played since Uropa 2.
On Escape is an action adventure in the style of Flashback and Another World. It gives you a look into two different types of levels, The Beginning and the Base section.
The Beginning leaves on the surface where the weather isn't too good as it's gone and started to rain. Not only that, but your getting chased by a Space Ship which is hell bent on killing you. It's laser is capable of blasting you onto the next screen, draining your valuable energy. Your aim should be to keep moving ahead of the ship and so Running (move in direction and hold down fire button) is essential along with the ability to Roll Along The Ground (move down and move joystick in direction you want to roll) to avoid fences which have been electrified. I won't spoil the level but the key is not to jump of the cliff and to use the spaceship to your advantage.
The Base Section gives you a chance to use a handgun, you'll be needing it with the enemies that they put in this part. Robots armed with handguns and other weapons but I think this provides the challenge that means it's no push over. To kill them quickly aim for the head as a few shots normally can kill them leaving their remains scattered all over the ground. Watch out for electrified wires hanging down has you have to roll below them or get injured by them. To repair your energy in this level you have to use the Doorway to find the end of the screen which is like bubbles. You'll know what I mean when you see it.
With so much character animated going on and background screens, it can be very hard to get away from this demo because like me you'll want to see and discover more. It is very much a game which is unique and cleverly done to bring new ideas you would not ordinarily find in any game. Much praise must go to the developers Invictus Team, they certainly have a bright future with games like this.
