YAM Users Statistic
Introduction
Upto version 1.3.2, YAM has been distributed as Email-Ware. Every user had to send his name and e-mail address
using the built-in Online Registration button. Registration was free of charge and the obtained data was used to
calculate the statistics seen below.
Number of users
In November '96, tired of answering the growing number of registration requests, I've released YAM 1.3.3a as Freeware. Until then, 8516 users from 61 different countries had been added to the registration database. But I'm still getting about five registration requests every day from people who are using one of the old versions. Today, there must be between 15000 and 20000 YAM users.
Where they come from
The pie chart and table shown below are based on the top-level domains of the e-mail addresses.
