I'm glad to announce a NEW and very MUCH enhanced release of 'AddressAssist'
(AA). Since its first published version, many new features have been added 
- also due to many suggestions of the users, thank you! - to make AA
one of the BEST address managment programs in the AMIGA world of computing!
And more features will follow!

AA ist designed to be a very easy to use, but yet powerful
address managment program for use at work, at home, in clubs etc.
or combined.

Take a look at the some of the most important features:

   * 16 field address database including 4 user definable text fields
     (new in release 2: 2nd 'Name'-field and an all new 'Group'-field
     to distinguish up to 10 address groups) and two additional
     multi-line remark fields with unlimited field length in separate
     windows.

   * Very nice and intuitive user interface based on MUI (which makes
     it size and font sensible, 3.1 compatible)

   * Two types of database/record view: the database List view provides
     easy overview and access while the record Form view enlightens the
     record's details.

   * Ability to change the set of records to be viewed: all, only
     selected or unselected or view the records by group.

   * More than one data files can be used with ADDRESSASSIST: all
     database configuration - like the FreeX field name or or the Group
     names - as well as all specific program and printer interface
     setup are stored in the data files, if desirable with an icon.

   * Ability to define selection of records. A selection may be viewed,
     printed and exported separately. Powerful filters to define :
     field string match and group match filters are provided for
     include, exclude or toggle records to or from a selection.

   * Powerful printing-interface for output address lists and labels by
     providing user definable and flexible output format: output text
     style and format; new for release 2: user definable record field
     ordering and field length definitions for list printing. Ability
     to load and save specific printer setup.

   * Possibility to use the templates for simplified input of address
     data.

   * Powerful database sort feature, possibility to use several index
     as well as sort in up- or downward direction

   * Flexible Import/Export filters for ASCII files with user definable
     file format: new in release 2: user definable record field
     ordering.

   * Import/Export filters for TransfileSF (TM) software (for transfer
     data with Casio pocket computer)

   * Copy address data to AMIGA clipboard. For use with word
     processors, for example.

   * Easy navigation through records by a set of 'QuickAccess'-controls
     (known from Superbase)

   * Special function for removing identical records

   * Localized under WB2.1 and above. Built-in English language. German,
     French, Italian and Norsk catalog translations and empty catalog description
     file provided. Documentation in Engslish, German and French!!!

Language support

Localized under WB2.1 and above. Built-in English language. German, french,
italian and norsk catalog translations as well as empty catalog description
file is provided. Documentation in english, german and french.
To spread AA all over the world, it would be nice to support as many languages
as possible. If you are interested in providing a catalog file translation and 
a short readme file for AddressAssist in your own language, please contact the
author BEFORE starting to translate.

Installation
************

Doubleclick on the 'Install'-Icon to start Commodores Installer program,
then answer the questions according to your needs and the program will 
be installed automatically on your system.
