About this Webpage
- This site is intended for use with resolutions of 800x600 at a pixel depth of 24-bits.
- An 040/060 AGA computer with a CyberVision 64/3D board will give you superb results.
- A PC-Compatible using a 24-bit graphics board at 800x600 will also give you superb results.
- Voyager-NG v2.91 works well with this site but will give you image problems periodically. (Still a beta!)
- IBrowse is creating problems with our online-ordering system periodically. Can't use the 'POST' method yet!
- Netscape and Microsoft Explorer users should have little problems viewing this page.
- We provide support for all XCAD users and their individual needs.
- We are now on the IRC!
- Major updates will be made weekly. All others will be done when needed.
- Scala Multimedia links have been removed from our site due to the company's lack of ongoing support for the Amiga platform. If any other company decides to discontinue support for the Amiga, they will suffer the same fate on this page.
- We are not warm and fuzzy nor politically correct. We are Mainers. Remember that.
A Brand New Statement to Our Existing and Future Customers
Well, it was about 'that time' to update this portion of our website. We are happy to say, with our first official year back in business and on the net, that we are having a great time getting this small business off the ground. Profits are slowly but steadily increasing and our presence is being felt in the Amiga marketplace. We're really not sure how far back Commodore's downfall had 'swung back the arm of time' for us, but it appears all is well. With Gateway 2000 and Amiga-Technologies getting down to business, we will continue to sell neat toys to our customers.
We've been in business since 1993. While having a retail store was great back then, we've discovered that the internet is more challenging than running a local shop. It's dog-eat-dog out here in cyberspace. Thanks to all of our customers who have supported us over these past months, we've been able to run a secure-commerce server to allow online ordering to take place. With only three employees, we figured that this would be one more way to help ease the load of answering floods of email. With your continued support, we hope to expand this business to provide all Amiga customers, locally and distant, with a stable retail store once again. As it is, we run the business from our own homes... answering the email, the phones, processing orders, and updating our page. We are ever-dedicated to following through with our promise... providing a casual and fun shopping environment coupled with top-notch service.
We would also like our customers to know, that unlike some other Amiga resellers (who will remain nameless), we manage our business 100% with Amiga computers and software. There's not a single PC or Mac involved whatsoever. We truly believe in these computers for their business potential. We use programs like FinalWriter 97, Voyager, IBrowse, Miami, WebPlug, MicroDot, InvoiceIt! and many others to accomplish what we do... and we are proud of that fact. There's nothing we like more than to see our Amigas supporting us for a change, instead of the other way around.
Nearing the end of this year, we will be stepping up our advertising campaigns accordingly. The Amiga Informer and Link Exchange, not to mention all of our associates who have put up a link for us on their commercial sites (thanks!), will be major players in our success. Not to mention, you our customers, who will be adding to that success.
In closing, we would just like to say 'THANK YOU!' for your support. Let's make the rest of this year great and the next year an even better one!
Sincerely,
Bruce R. Bowman, Owner
