SIMM NEWS: Well, SIMM prices seem to have "stabilized". They're a great deal! (Just remember what SIMMS cost about a year and a half ago!!)
ALL our SIMMs carry a lifetime warranty AND since we can supply SIMMs and memory modules for most ANY kind of computer (including laptops and SGI, Apple, etc.), we're pretty confident we can get the right item(s) for you. Prices are always changing so Call or EMail for REALLY current SIMM pricing. For instance, some of the more common sizing are available as standard (page) or EDO SIMMs:
4MB/60ns 1x32 for $Call or EMail
8MB/60ns 2x32 for Call or EMail
16MB/60ns 4x32 Call or EMail
32MB/60ns 16x32 Call or EMail
We have 4MB SIMMs for GVP boards. Currently cost only $67.00Call or EMail for 4MB. Ask about the 16MB pricing!
If you've recently got caught up in the Zip-mania and purchased one, we've got the management software you need from Oregon Research. Known as the Squirrel Zip Tools, we have it for $24.50.
We also carry the new SyQuest SyJet 1.5GB removable which has faster access and data transfer times and cartridges cost about the same. Only
The Jaz, 1GB removable, 3.5" internal, 12ms average access time, 3.5/4/6 MB min/ave/max transfer rates, 256KB read/write cache. Unit includes one cartridge and is available now for $475.00. Extra carts are $138.00 each. Less in Five-packs! But Call or EMail for more current info.
If you own either Zip, Jaz or any SyQuest, get our CrossDOS Version 6.04 by Consultron that'll let you read or write PC formatted carts, hard drives and other disks, $42.08. Remember, it is HIGHLY recommended that you format your carts on the PC (on MS-DOS) as opposed to formatting on the Amiga in MS-DOS if you're planning to swap data between your Amiga and the PC.
Also consider Link-it! to transfer between your Amiga and a PC. See the software page.
However, if you need to swap between your Amiga and a Macintosh, get our CrossMAC, $86.70. It does the same for MAC-DOS disks and carts.
We also have 1GB Medalist (by Seagate) drives (as you may have seen advertised in the EuroMags for installing inside A1200s.) These are fast and very compact hard drives. The "raw" drives are only $293.00--while they last!--
Keep in mind that USCSI is Ultra SCSI-2, UATA is Ultra ATA-2, IDE are normally ATA-2, FATA is Fast ATA-2, and FSCSI is Fast SCSI-2. If you have any questions, please let us know!

Video FLYER (HQ5, at least %80) Hard Drives:
Contact us with your requirements: Call or EMail
Call or EMailCall for other Flyer, PAR or V-Lab Motion specific hard drives. If you're upgrading an internal A4000 IDE HD, remember that generally the larger the HD is, the longer it sometimes takes to spin up. Therefore, if your A4000 is booting from a 120MB Seagate it may not see any problems with spin-up time. A larger (and therefore slower to spin up) HD may not let your stock machine boot up from the HD. What can be done? 1) Leave the 120MB HD and add a startup delay with a re-mount command so it'll now see the HD that didn't show up before. 2) Just three-finger salute it once the drives have spun up (a second or two). 3) Get a SCSI bootable controller and a SCSI HD for your A4000 and give up your old 120MB for your kid's science project. 4) If you're really good, you might add/modify the time delay circuit to the HD inquire line in your A4000. (Obviously voiding the "warranty".)
There's also the option of adding a SCSI controller and SCSI hard drive to your A4000. The A4000T doesn't require this since it has a SCSI controller built-in. (Of course we can get Seagate/Conner, Western Digital, Quantum, Micropolis, HP and others if needed!
Of course we carry most Seagate/Conner, Western Digital, Quantum, Micropolis, HP and others if needed! Again, tell us what you need and we'll get you a very reasonable price on your requirements.
We're proud to carry ExaByte tape drives. They are simply the best tape drive units available. They aren't cheap, but they're not obsessively expensive either. Please let us know what UNcompressed size you need. This is known as the "raw" or more commonly, the "native" capacity of the drive. Since video on tape is already compressed (like the Flyer Clip, MPEG, AVI or Motion JPEG files) and will not (normally) compress any more this is very important. So a tape drive unit that advertises "4 GB storage" will not necessarily hold 4 GB of video info. Buyer beware!
Let us know if you want an internal or external unit. Also let us know if you're looking for speed, capacity or both.
We also carry the Tahiti rewriteable optical drives by Maxoptix. The Tahiti carts recently were reduced in price! Tell us what size and (importantly) glass or polycarbonate media. Call or EMail me for more info!)
Let us help you select a CD-ROM drive. Since prices change weekly, we'll steer you in the best direction for what you need. (Specials)
You want a CD-ROM that does it all? Get a Sony 76SB SCSI2 (internal) for only $(please Call or EMail, prices change too often).
