Welcome to Alex & Co.!

My name is Alex Santa-Pinter. I've proudly served our local Amiga community since February 1990. In one incarnation or another, I've been lucky to be associated with Oklahoma's longest running professional Amiga outlet. (At least I think we are.) This is specially important considering the strange market of this computer platform.
We aren't particularly mioptic and so believe that our computer market doesn't exist in a vaccum. We're not "computer prejudiced". The Amiga, PC (Windows 3.x, 95, NT),and Mac platforms ALL have their good points and their bad points. If you have a question about any of these, please ask. We've always dedicated ourselves to help those with more "unusual" or eclectic tastes, because that is precisely what we are. We will attempt to find most anything for someone (not always successfully). We consider ourselves sometimes hobbyists, sometimes hackers (in the original sense of the word) and sometimes just plain nuts. But, we always do what's right for our clients (you). We may not be perfect or incapable of making mistakes, but we try to achieve a level of competence that keeps us from tripping and falling on the Peter Principle.

Alex & Co. is located almost dead center of the USA in Oklahoma. We're always going through growing pains, so bear with us and tell us what we need to change! If you have any questions, technical or otherwise, we'll try to answer them or refer you to someone who may know the answer. Send us an EMail message and we'll attempt to EMail you back within one day. You may call and talk to us (or leave a message in the ubiquitous voice mail) and we'll attempt to answer your question(s) within a couple of days. If it is an emergency, please state so!
Shipping is usually via USPS, UPS or FedEx. You choose.

Our company mailing address is:

Ordering...

For the moment, all credit card orders should be placed by a voice or fax phone call to (405) 391-3333. Until further notice: Please DO NOT send your credit card number over the Internet. Also note that to protect you from fraudulent use of your credit card, all credit card orders will be shipped to address of record of credit card user.

The "Fine Print"...

We try very hard not to make mistakes, however, we're not responsible for typos and other mistakes unknowingly or unwittingly made while typing this at two or four o'clock in the morning.

All tradenames and trademarks are owned by their respective owners. Duh! :)

Pricing policies...

All our pricing assumes you'll use your handy-dandy credit card by phone. All prices are subject to change. All dollar ($) amounts in US dollars. We take: Cash with proper ID; Checks with a note from your mother; Or even Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. However, you can get a small discount for Cash/Check/COD. Call for tax, shipping and COD charges (if applicable). And except for a few free shipping items, we charge you what it costs to ship so we don't make money from shipping you your stuff. Fair enough?

How about THESE terms...

You tell us EXACTLY what you need and we'll do our best to supply you with EXACTLY what you ask for.

As for returns...

We'll exchange bad items for exact replacement;
Please, don't even ask: No returns on software.
We give full store credit on the amount of purchase;
On hardware we charge a 15% restocking fee for the priviledge of becoming a test parts supplier.
(We're very sorry to inconvenience anybody, but we have to cover ourselves from scam artists, wishy-washy and business-wise immoral people.)

We always have lots of older stuff laying around, please EMail or call for more info!
If you're happy with our service, please spread our address. If you're not, please let us know why.

About User Groups...

There's nothing like a bunch of Amiga-nauts if you need help, so JOIN a local user group! Its the best twenty or so bucks you can spend for your computer and yourself. Most cities have computer user groups. Call around to find an Amiga or Toaster-specific one. Join and participate or start one up, it helps you and it helps others.

So, if you're local to Oklahoma:
Visit (or join) OACES (Oklahoma Amiga Enthusiasts) on the first Thursday of each month at Rose State College, in Midwest City, 18:30-??:??. Check out their HomePage at www.ionet.net/~amigapc/oaces/oaces01.html> .

Or visit (or join) TAG (Tulsa Amiga Group) on the second Saturday of each month at the Hardesty South Regional Library, 14:30-16:30.

Some other places to visit...

Check your stocks' value and get a configurable chart display at... Your Stock Value Utility...a service of the people who brought you Quicken.

What if everybody had access to EMail (anywhere in the world)? Is there a relationship between democracy and access to electronic mail? Read a very well written paper on Universal Access to EMail... Brought to you by the Rand Corporation.

Check out the amiCrawler site!

Many of our suppliers have their own home pages. If you have a question about a product, you may try first at the manufacturer's pages, and then, when sure of what you need, come back to Alex & Co. to place an order (or ask more questions).
