"#?.ct" is an empty catalog translation file
"#?.cd" is the catalog descriptor

The ct file is where you put the new text,
the cd file is there so those of you who are able to
can compile and test your translation.

When you have filled the ct file with the translated text
please send it to me <emsai@online.no>
with a subject like "-program_name- Translation"

It would also be nice if you could translate the Installer script also,
just replace the english messages at the beginning of the script
with your language, I will then later cut and paste this into my script.
So just translate the text, don't mess with other stuff,
if you are familiar with the Installer scripts,
then you may change the "layout" of the text lines.

Translators need not pay anything (i.e ShareWare fee) for the software,
you will be registered for free :-)
BUT! YOU HAVE TO ASK ME!
I will not register you (or make a keyfile and send it to you)
unless you ask me, I'm to lazy to do it without you asking me nicely :-)

IMPORTANT! I must have the "translated" .ct file. IMPORTANT!

This is because I must be able to adjust things,
the actual translated text is your responsibility,
BUT the actual compiled catalog is my responsibility.

There have been more than one time I had to correct things,
one guy even forgot to put his email address,
I suddenly saw my own address instead of his etc :-)
Plus I sometimes see mistakes with the version string.

PS! Please note that some text must have same lenght,
this usually apply to GUI strings that must be equal in lenght,
if not then things (especially the text etc) will look out of place.

Also make sure that the line
# version $VER: XX.catalog XX.XX (XX.XX.XX)

is changed into something like.
# version $VER: serprefs.catalog version.revision (day.month.year)

version MUST follow the version of the program.
and revision should be increased from 1 and up
each time an addition is made and released.

So in SerPrefs v40.3 a Norwegian catalog may be 40.2
but a German catalog could be 40.13

Translators who wish to release updates of their catalogs
may do so, if so please make sure you name upload archive like this:

If the program archive is SerPrefs.lha, name catalog updates as,
SerPrefs_French.lha
SerPrefs_German.lha
etc...
Please use the English language names,
do not put the version.revision numbers in the filename.

BUT! You MUST send me the new .ct files
so I can update the catalogs in the program's archive.
They will be included in the next release.

So unless you need to fix a BIG mistake very fast,
please let me have the new catalog (.ct file),
so I can include an updated catalog with the next program release.
