Submission Details

Alright, so your name won't be in lights but it'll be there. But we desparately need your help! In order for our wonderful e-mag to keep on going we will need material to put in it. It can be almost anything as long as it relates in some way to one or more of five six main themes. So we need you to send us your:

Short Stories

Maximum of 17,500 words, but can be a short as you like. Anything longer may, if it's good enough, be used in two or more parts.
Preferably SF or horror, but combinations and borderline fiction is fine.

Pictures

Please, please, please don't send any Amiga logo's! We're sick to death of them!
Other than that it can be a picture of anything much.

Articles

Nothing too technical unless you cleary explain everything for less experienced readers.
It could be about almost anything - a report of a show you went to, a feature on a user group, a point you want to make, anything you want.

You must understand that if you do submit anything to us it is a contribution. You will not be paid for it. We don't get any money out of this either.

We can accept floppy disks (DD or HD), or CD-ROMs (if you've got loads to send us). Please make sure your name and address are included. And make sure they're are on the disk/CD as well. Only your name and e-mail address will be shown, so don't worry (you can tell us not to show your e-mail address as well if you want, but surely you'll let us show your name?). You can also e-mail submissions to me, but make sure it will fit on a HD floppy disk (1.44Mb). Please also try to compress your file if possible (using ZIP, LHA or LZX).

We can accept work in many different file formats including:
Pictures: IFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP (Win, OS/2), and PCX.
Text: Wordworth (up to V6), ASCII, RTF, Word (up to 97), Works*, Word Perfect*, WordStar*, TXT and HTML. (Note, if using a format marked * please use earliest version you can save as).

By submitting your work to us you are agreeing that we can publish it in Amithyst once and/or include it in any compilations of Amithyst, and we can do nothing else with it, unless we get further permission. You are still free to send it to other publications, or do whatever you want with it, as long as we are legally permitted to include it in one issue of Amithyst and/or compilations of Amithyst.

If you want your work returned you must include appropriate return postage and packaging. We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your work whilst it is in our possession or in the postal system, so please keep a back-up copy for yourself.

If you disagree with any of the terms stated above, then don't send us your submissions. It's as simple as that. But if you do agree with them and you do want to send us something, send it to the address (e-mail/snail-mail) shown in the How to Contact us section.
