Game Review: Parrapa The Rapper By: Sony Price: £29.99 Platform: Playstation After all the hype surrounding this game, I was expecting it to be a crock of shite, like most hyped games are. But I was pleasently suprised! After buying the game, and in two minds about whether to part with £30 for a game that I'd never played, but only seen a few rolling demos of... should I buy Resident Evil instead? Any way, love makes the universe go round... if the universe does rotate, but that's the idea. Parappa is a funky pup and he has to rap to get the girl/dog of his dreams (get the dog of his dreams sounds a bit derogatory you think?). Other characters in the game have equally mad names, Sunny Funny, Mr Prince Fleaswallower (a dancing frog) and some odd onion, yes an onion called "Chop master onion", wonder what the makers were taking when they made this!? So you have to make the music using the joypad, you start off, and you're usually pretty shite, about as good at rapping as Abba would be, but you get better, like any game, with practise. Soon you'll be hippin' down like Tupac Shakur did. The graphics are awesome, good gameplay, enough to keep you enthralled in the game for a long time (apart from when your Amiga is around of course!), this is THE Playstation game to own.
