Single Review: Don't Give Up By: Michelle Weeks Publisher: Ministry of Sound Yes, another tune by the famed Michelle Weeks. Her last big hit was with the vocals for "Moment of my life" by Bobby D'ambrosio. This song actually has a LOT in common with "Moment of my life", not least because the packaging is identical apart from the title change (obviously) and the picture being a shade of purple rather than blue. The song itself is also very similar, another fast piano song with powerful vocals sung by Michelle, and mixes my M&S as did Moment... Yes, it's a speedgarage record, which means it has a thumping bass line, fast drums, banging piano music and top sole singer Michelle, and the M&S Club Mix is one hell of a song. I actually prefer this song to "Moment of my life", I think it has more melody to it, and the lyrics are better, even though there isn't much difference between the songs. It's kind of like the situation with "Everything But The Girl", when they released "Missing" and then "Wrong" with in the span of a few months. Different people prefer different songs. I like this one better. The song itself though is bound to be a big hit, because apart from the similarities to the last song, it is a good tune, and will keep people dancing, and I think will be a hit in clubs, and maybe even make it into the charts, it's certainly getting a lot of radio airplay.
