JAZZ ON BRAND NAMES You know it seems to me that people are making a big fuss over brand names still. I used to be a victim of it myself, back in the early 1990s when I was still a kid, every thing had to be Nike, or Puma, or Reebok. But they actually found out, that a lot of cheeper shoes and clothes are made in the same factory as the brand name clothes, and out of the same material! So people pay double the price just for the badge. These days, most things you buy are of pretty decent quality, and the brand names don't offer anything special any more. they started out by offering a really good quality shoe, and then earned a reputation for it, but others have caught up now, to the level where everything is pretty much equal. I no longer go for brand names, I get things because of how nice they look, how good quality they are, and if they're reasonably priced. I mean, who's stupid enough to spend £150 on a pair of trainers, when a £50 pair will be exactly the same for you? They don't offer anything better to improve your running (and how many people use trainers for running?), maybe they'll have an air-bubble in them and a fancy name, neither of which do anything to improve your comfort or running abilities. Air bubbles are a con, and you fool yourself into believing you can feel them and that they make you more comfortable, when they don't. So people, stop buying brand names, just because they're brand names, and can pump out any old crap, only buy goods that are good value and good quality, maybe then we'll get the companies to stop selling products for 3 times the price as smaller companies, for the same thing.
