So send em in. Ideally, try to keep your letters under 250 lines long, 78 chars wide, unless you're sending in a neat tutorial. Oh, and keep it graphic related. I don't want anything on the unending saga of the Amiga's Future (or lack of it) So why have I taken the retrograde step of coding the magazine in AMOS PRO? Surly the sensible thing would be to do everything in HTML so that MAC and PC users could read it too. The sad fact is that I never really intended to release the Magazine on the Public Domain. It was just a task I set myself in order to improve my AMOS skills. The end result turned out better than I had anticipated. Now with the Amiga Scene in such a poor state (still FAR better than the PC scene) I felt that it was about time I put something back into to my Amiga after the many years of joy its given me. Also, not having access to the internet was a factor in the lack of a HTML version. BTW, if you look in the !Extra Stuff! drawer you'll find 2 programs to convert MicroDesign 2 images to the IFF format. (MicroDesign is a very simple DTP program for the Amstrad PCW.) I've included the source code for the program in Amos and Blitz Basic. I wrote both programs because I wanted to make use of the handscanner on my old PCW. Not having any information on the MicroDesign format, the converted images are not perfect. As you will see when you use them, the start of an image does not begin at the left hand side of the screen. This is no real problem when you use the Roll function in ImageFX but it is all rather inconvenient. If you've worked out what the solution to the problem is, then please send it on. If you know how to write datatypes, why not write one for the MDA and SCR formats? Although you can print from the magazine, it's probably better to print these docs. from a wordprocessor. All these texts can be found in the TXT drawer on this disk in powerpacker format.
