You may recall that Amiga Flame featured News of CounterStrike a C&C clone some weeks ago and you will be glad to hear that they have opened the Official CounterStrike web site.
This web site will be constantly updated on the development of CounterStrike and will contain both information and screenshots. At the moment development is starting to increase with it hopefully expected to be released at the end of the year.
They have released some details of the storyline which reveals that a conflict has broken out between Russia and Japan over the Currils (some islands in Asia) from which valuable oil has been found. This conflict draws in other countries who ally themselves with other countries. The Player gets to choose between the Russia/China alliance, UniPac, and the United States.
Currently they have ran into a problem with using the name - CounterStrike and are seeking a new name with them looking to you to come up with some. The name should have some relevence to the genre of the game.
