Alive MediaSoft Re-Release Labyrinth Of Time

Alive MediaSoft have been busy lately working on both Childrens Software and on their scary adventure game, Haunted. Now Alive MediaSoft have just re-released Labyrinth of Time from the famous Electronic Arts.

There is many locations like the ones above to explore
The Labyrinth of Time was released back in 1993 and is an adventure game like Myst and 7th Guest but was released before them. The story follows a man who has lived a dull and uneventful life but has now been chosen to destroy a Labyrinth that is going to bridge time and space. The problem is that it's being made by King Minos who plans to use it to rule the world for it will open up a doorway into any part of history. You take charge of this unlikely hero and must explore the realm you've been left in, solve puzzles and eventually destroy the Labyrinth.

Considerating it's age, the graphics are very realistic
It features over 1800 high resolution images, representing 275 locations and have stunningly rendered 256 colour ray-traced graphics with you having hours of exploration and problem solving in this photorealistic world. It's very simple to play using a point and click interface.

It runs on a CD32, CDTV or A500 with 1 meg and is played direct from CD. It's priced at only £14.99 UK pounds.

Alive MediaSoft have said it was way ahead of its time when it was first released and I would would agree. I received it just in time to do this News article and my initial impressions are good for it has many of the characteristic's an adventure game like Myst have used and expanded upon. Myst certainly beats it outright but I think that for those Amiga users who don't have the spec to run Myst, should seriously considering buying Labyrinth of Time as an alternative.
