More details and screenshots have been released of Phoenix, this cocktail of realtime-3D-spacefight, adventure and trading simulation set into four different star-systems which has been 2 years in the making.
The idea is to travel around galaxies fighting pirates, solving missions and trading goods finally to discover your true mission. Phoenix is set in three parts; space-simulation where you take the place of a pilot, the other parts you try to make a living by trading goods.
The storyline is currently getting reworked and the features include 256 colours throughout with state-of-the-art 3-D-engine and raytraced stills and animations. It'll contain many characters with more than 15 planets to visit and 15 goods to trade. Another feature is TCP/IP support which is still in development but will make this all the more impressive.
Phoenix will be released into two versions, one floppy and the other CD-Rom. It will require a 68030/50 Mhz or better, 4MB RAM and Harddisk/CD-Drive and will support Graphics cards.
