I brought you Exclusive News on BrainKiller a new Doom type game and now I bring you the first look at BrainKiller and after playing this demo you'll be really happy you downloaded it.
Last Month's Demos of the Month - Wheels On Fire a new racing game, by Prolixity.
Once installed onto your hard drive you can get down to fighting it out. Your mission in this demo is to find and steal a prototype of the Ultra Cannon.
Lucky for you that you can't die in this demo as you wouldn't last very long against the enemy troops in the complex. To control your player you use the arrow keys, to Kick you hit Alt, to fire Grenades you hit Shift, to use the machine gun hit 6 and LAmiga to fire it. Later in the level you will find a Rocket Launcher, to use it hit 8 and LAmiga to fire.
When you start in the demo you will be confronted by a number of enemies armed with handguns, you on the other hand will be armed with a machine gun, Grenades and you will be able to Kick the enemy to death. If they are close to you it is best to kick them to death but if the enemy is in the distant you can throw multiple grenades at them and blow them to bits. But really if you want to run around killing everything in your path you are best suited to the Machine Gun. The supreme of all the weapons currently is the Rocket Launcher which fires a missle at any enemy troops blowing up most of the area and any mines in the area will self destruct adding to the explosion.
The movement of the enemy troops is excellent with them crouching down before they fire. When you kick a person you can see the effect it has on him as it knocks his head back. Not only are there bad guys but there are other little robots that do no harm and run around the place. Another brilliant feature is that you can hear the bullets hit parts of the wall, that way you know the enemy troops are taking pot shots at you.
The complex is massive with there being locked doors of which require colour coded keys to open. This reveals further more parts of the complex and you will find ammo and plenty more things to pick up along the way.
The sound effects consist of some nice music and brilliant sound samples of which you will hear when you pick up things.
I havn't found the way out yet, it's that big but I am sure you will find this demo very exciting.
