THE FILE SELECTOR

The StereopJr File Selector works like the Workbench File Selector, but
there are a few differences.

The StereopJr File Selector has a window with a list of file and drawer
names, and four large buttons labelled {[000,5,0] OK }, {[000,5,0] DISKS }, {[000,5,0] PARENT } and {[000,5,0] CANCEL }.
There are also two small buttons with blue arrows to move up and down the
list.

Here's what a list might look like:

      *Brushes
      *Grounds
      *Guide
      *Pictures
       Graphics 117532
       Read-Me-First 4274
       SJ-Locate 27
       StereopJr 139864

The drawer names have asterisks (*) in front of them. The file names have
the file size in bytes after them.

When you click a drawer name, the files and smaller drawers in the drawer
are listed. If you click the wrong drawer, just click the {[000,5,0] PARENT } button
to move back. Click the {[000,5,0] DISKS } button to change disks or to look at the
big main drawers in a disk.

Then click on the file you want to select and click {[000,5,0] OK }, or just double-click
the file. To save a new picture, find the drawer you want to put it in,
type in a name on the bottom bar, and press RETURN. To leave the Selector
without selecting a file, click the {[000,5,0] CANCEL } button or press ESC.

You can move the file selector up or down by pointing the mouse pointer at
the top of the selector, holding down the left mouse button and dragging
it up or down.

HERE'S AN EXAMPLE: Suppose you're using the StereopJr disk in your internal
floppy drive and you want to find the file called "SnowBG" in the "Grounds"
drawer (which is in the "StereopJr" drawer). If you don't know where you
are, click the {[000,5,0] DISKS } button. Then click the disk name "DF0:".

You'll see a list including the "*StereopJr" drawer. Click it, and you'll
see a list like the one above. Click the "*Grounds" drawer, and a new list
will appear with the "SnowBG" file near the bottom. Click it, and it will
appear in the bar at the bottom of the selector. Then click the {[000,5,0] OK } button,
and the file will be selected.
