Puno is set in the extensive Callao Altiplano, the high plateau shared by Peru and Bolivia, on the shores of Lake Titicaca which is an immense island sea. Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world and the largest at over 2 thousand meters. The Lake connects us to one of the most powerful feminine energies of our Mother Earth.

M'anko Qapak and Mama Oqllo
| It is believed that the Lake was the place where the holy couple, M'anko Qapak and Mama Oqllo emerged from its waters, and gave birth tho the Andes Civilization. Today many spiritual people connect with this Sacred Lake and use its power and energy to raise their vibration and balance their Feminine and Masculine Energies. It is also believed that Titicaca is a doorway for our Space Brothers and Sisters via ther spacecraft (UFOs), to enter the inner world and exchange knowledge with an underwater civilization that lives in a Crystal City.
There is not much to do in Puno, especially for those who are seeking to make contact with the natives and learn about their traditions. Thus, one trip we always do is to travel to the floating reed islands and visit with the Uros. The Inka Empire was build with three nations, the Jungle, the Quechua and the Aymaras People. The Aymaras are still located mostly in the southern part of Peru. Very little is known about the Uros and the people who live on the islands now are almost entirely mixed with the Aymaras. |
The Uros of today, still live as the original inhabitants did as they continue to use the totora reeds to build their huts and rafts. The Uros are singular people and even though they keep to themselves very quietly, they do allow people to visit with them. They have always been quiet happy to participate with us when we perform our ceremonies or meditations on their island.

The Floating Island of Uros Another special Island we visit in Lake Titicaca is Amantani also known as the Island of Love. Here we enjoy a spectucular breathtaking view of the Lake. It is possible to interact with the local natives who have preserved their traditions.

Vera and the Amantani Shaman
|
One of the highlights of our journeys to Peru is the spiritual ceremony we conduct on Amantani. We always invite a medicina man from the Island to guide us in a Pago (Holy ritual) to Pacha Tata.
